No. Not in cough medicines, nada. It's a controlled prescription that physicians are loathe to prescribe. Our cough medicines are pretty worthless... And we've recently lost pseudoephedrine in most combination medicines as well. Although you can still just flash your ID and buy it plain.

Yeah, you need ID for pseudoephedrine here too. It's amusing. Apparently one guy thought he'd go surfing from one store to the next, getting just one packet per place, so he could mix up some speed... but due to the program where you need to show ID and all, they register you into a database. After 3 or 4 places, it got forwarded to the police, and they just looked at a map and found where he was probably headed... and met him at the pharmacy. Busted.

I don't know how harmful the pseudo-Speed is, and can't comment on how useful that initiative has been in general, but that guy deserved to be arrested on charges of "Felony Stupid".

That's funny. They actually write you down in a book. That they don't do anything with, here.

You might get caught surfing if you hit the same chain, but if you stick to clubs or small no-names, you're never gonna get caught unless you're caught some other way.

Besides, like I said before... There's no reason to ever buy that much at a time unless you're an idiot. And the big boys buy it wholesale.

I'm curious as to how this turned out.
Due to politics of the insane kind, dental treatments aren't covered by the Aus government*.
What. So they offer universal health care but not universal dental care? Please elaborate on this reasoning.

I'd guess they think that dental care is just a pretty smile, not realizing that proper dental care maps directly to life expectancy.

You get one set of adult teeth. Without them, your diet goes downhill, and they're open sewers to your bloodstream.

Paracetamol is a ridiculously drug ... the difference between a "safe" dose and a harmful one is relatively small. I'm always telling my relatives to just get ibuprofen (aka advil) instead. It's just so fucking easy to go over the edge with paracetamol, have some sickness affecting your liver function, forget you took the pills (or simply don't care) and drink some alcohol and you can be fucked.

It's the same in Canada, or at least in Quebec.
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no one - for I am the meanest motherfucker in the valley.

And in Russia. Who needs teeth anyway?
