For not using a Mac? Common sense.

Apple makes good hardware at an excessive price. The security is actually lagging Windows now, unless the latest OSX introduced full ASLR.

The real problem with Apple is the insane control/censorship they exert over the app store. If you want to support anti competitive behaviour have fun with it.

Back in the very early 90's our art department had a Mac (Studio 32 was probably the best graphic tool ever, especialy in an age when most computer graphics was still 256 colors) that had just come out with voice recognition and vocal responses to commands. One evening we hacked into his Mac and replaced the voice files with this sexy submissive female voice knowing that he would panic if his wife ever found out.

And now macs have that standard.

As important a criteria as battery life may be:

Upgrading the PC is still usually cheaper than buying a Mac.

The upgrade was to 4 hours and the computer was already bigger than the mac. While I could have lived with 4 hours, the larger computer+the bulky extended battery would have made carrying it more impractical.

I also got a free ipod out of the thing, so count that as you will.

Ironically, I feel the same way.

I dunno, I assume everyone on here is pretty left-wing so we won't have anything in common at all except D&D. I guess it's probably not fair to assume that about someone who never posts, though.

As regards Maxus's post. I would object to claiming atheists as like Mac people. That is demeaning to us.

I personally resent macs ever since that time in school when I had to use horrible one-button mouse macs. I mean, that was in the days when Windows locked up several times a day and I still preferred it.

True.

How am I to play the starcraft with only one button. Fiends.

Obviously not familiar with starcraft.

I'm on a mac right now. U jelly?

...

Yeah I can't stand this thing.

And I play Minecraft with the one button. Having to hit the spacebar, shift and ctrl key has landed me in lava too many times. Fortunately I have a mouse I can plug in, but then it eats up the single USB slot on this thing.

Don't know what to tell you, guy. Played the game with a one-button mouse, it worked fine.

I used to play SC back in the day and did well despite using a Mac. I was only very minorly inconvenienced by the 1 button mouse (at times before I got a 2 button... My keyboard had a USB slot for the mouse so no trouble there).
