Socks can't say no either. Objects don't matter.

Without advance permission, it would be rather gauche to slip into someone's house and have sex on their bed. Or to use their vibrator. Or to fuck their corpse. Common courtesy, people.

As far as PCs are concerned, slipping into someone's house and having sex on their bed is basically par for course. Even if you're "Good," having an obnoxious disregard for personal space comes with the hit dice.

Who owns a corpse, Whatever?

I'm pretty sure it belongs to the family.

Yes, which is why you only do it on corpses you own.

No one "owns" a corpse; it's not property in the legal sense.

For the purposes of burial, it's considered to be owned by the spouse or next of kin, but the coroner can supercede that if they want to order an autopsy.

Some states give the wishes of the decedent (to be cremated, for example) legal force, but other states do not.

Once the body is buried, it's considered part of the ground, and exhumations usually require legal authority.

If the decedent was an organ donor, then portions of their body may be used for transplants or medical research, but transplanted organs are not "owned" by the donees any more than their prior organs were.

Which is to say that they are 100% totally and obviously owned by the donee.

I'm sure they'll, in the near future, be owned by the company that financed the transplant, and if you can't make your payments...

Rights and ownership are not the same thing. Organs aren't property that you can buy and sell. You have numerous rights when it comes to your body, but it's not something you own.

This explains the necro-incest of Vampire the Masquerade. But clearly, the ideal candidate for necrophiliac intentions is people with no family.

...this puts new light on the idea of D&D Adventurers being called "Murder Hobos."

The legal ability to buy or sell is not even remotely the indicator of ownership. You can own lots of things that you can't buy or sell. Having a possessory interest which cannot be infringed is fucking ownership. And you have that with your body, and the organs in your body.

Now taking bets on how many pages it will take to conclude a purely semantic debate of which definition of ownership is "correct."

2, with 75% odds of space being taken up by another, tangentially related argument.

I just love how the Den is basically full of thought criminals who turn completely innocent discussions of RPG topics into debates about deviant sexual behaviour, how morally wrong it is, and politics and law.

I just wanted an innocent discussion on the ethics of organ repossession.

Hey, if attractive women start dancing in the streets in their lingerie, I'm all for organ repossession.

I'll admit I was humming Zydrate Anatomy to myself after every shot of fentanyl they gave me in hospital.

But seriously, lingerie-dancing is just a feature of the future: all cyberpunk/corporate future dystopia settings have that kind of stuff and a sort of "hypersexualised - up to the limits we can show today!" vibe. You don't need repo men for that.

True... does this mean that by the time we actually get jetpacks and hover boards that no one will care because they'll be too busy ogling the naked women using them?

No, it just means someone will put boobs on them.

Didn't you know the only reason we even had an Age of Sail was because some marketing genius started carving naked women figureheads for boats? And all those myths about sirens, a dangerous seabeast that just so conveniently happens to be in the form of an attractive woman? That was just a viral marketing campaign for adventuring on the open sea.

The guy who managed to develop the camera to the "instant photo" kind (as opposed to "stand here for an hour") literally convinced a local bar maid to get her tits out for some photos... for the very first thing he did after developing that camera. Tits are the parents of innovation.

"Aye lad, if you've got the guts t'be MERCILESSLY RAPED T' DEATH BY THE MAIDENS OF THE SEA ye can get on my boat"

In reality, they just drank rum and bummed each other.

Did he even take a picture of her boobs?
Or was it just, hey, I'm Joe Camera, I just invented the Camera, now please get your tits out, will ya?

Apparently he did convince her to, and did take the photo. All my knowledge of this comes from Bill Bailey, mind you, who assures us that classical music was inspired by the cockney genre.

I see you've also read Sodomy and the Pirate Tradition!
