Quoting someone doesn't necessarily override it. Talking about what a wretched shitstain they are, however justified, does override it.

Quoting them and talking about why what they are saying is wrong (rules wise) is perfectly fine so long as you do it without talking shit about them. That isn't really our MO here, but it is theoretically possible.
