Could also be the part where she lost control of her powers because of the blood thing, and everyone died when she burned down the school.Thaluikhain wrote:I'm guessing the bucket of blood at the prom thing from the 70s movie, but apparently they've been a few adaptations of the same book.Guts wrote:Mask_De_H, what's a Carrie situation?

Don't forget, Koumei wrote an RPG years ago about schoolgirls. It's solid.

Yeah, I mentioned Bakahatsu High (tho not by name). I was also thinking of Dungeon Crusade.
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.
Prak is weird, especially when trans people are being discussed.

I doubt it. Everyone who posts has to have a first post; I doubt most people would sit on their sock puppet account for two years (rather than registering a new one). Personally, from the title, I thought it sounded like someone trying to argue that only men can make good adventure games. Of course, knowing it was by Prak, I didn't REALLY think that was the intent, but yeah - I'm not surprised people are clicking on this with the expectation that gamer guys are continuing to be horrible people online.

I was basically expecting discussion of RPGs made by women, with a frustrating dose of pointless cissexism at the beginning, which is pretty much exactly what I got. The really weird part was getting a frustrating dose of pointless cissexism from another trans person, which baffled me enough to finally post after lurking here for years.deaddmwalking wrote:I'm not surprised people are clicking on this with the expectation that gamer guys are continuing to be horrible people online.

Ever consider you might be an oversensitive Berkshire hunt?

Honestly, I can't argue with this summation.Grek wrote:Prak is weird, especially when trans people are being discussed.
Cissexism isn't a thing, just like reverse racism isn't a thing. You can be prejudiced against cis or white people, but they created the institutions that benefit them and oppress non-cis/white people, thus -isms like sexism and racism don't apply.00dani wrote:I was basically expecting discussion of RPGs made by women, with a frustrating dose of pointless cissexism at the beginning, which is pretty much exactly what I got. No, no, cissexism isn't prejudice against cis people! It refers to behaviours that normalise and privilege cis people over trans people, similarly to transphobia/transmisia but with a greater emphasis on the subconscious and casual behaviours that promote cisness. It could also be called cisnormativity.Prak wrote:Cissexism isn't a thing, just like reverse racism isn't a thing. So, y'know, a thread title criticising the dominance of men in writing tabletop RPGs, that happens to equate being male with having particular genitals, would be cissexist. Which is what confused me so much about this thread.

That's been Prak MO for a while or a least some variation of it.00dani wrote:

What you are describing is Systemic Rac/Sexism. You are right reverse racism is a not a thing...that is just plain racism which still does apply regardless if one is cis/white/hetero.Prak wrote: Cissexism isn't a thing, just like reverse racism isn't a thing. That would be cisnormativity. And... ok, yes. The specific rhetoric I implied in the title is cisnormative.00dani wrote:No, no, cissexism isn't prejudice against cis people! Do you have a better way to express "apparently only cis men write adventure games" with the same derisive sentiment?

If you have a problem, tell them to suck a barrel of cocks like a proper Denner instead of trying to dodge the censor.

The word filter is retarded. We're grown-ass adults and we should be able to call each other Berkshire hunts and British cigarettes and whatever other words that are filtered. We can keep the moratorium on threats of death or violence though.
In this moment, I am Ur-phoric. Not because of any phony god’s blessing. But because, I am enlightened by my int score.
Wait you can't call people [EDITED] on this board?

I'm all for keeping the filters. You can say what you want; you just get an [EDITED] and we don't have to derail any conversations about a word being offensive outside of the way you're using it. Further, because we're all adults, we can communicate our ideas with appropriate swearing; we don't need words that only exist for shock value.

In their failed attempts to make me not curse like a sailor, my parents frequently expressed that swearing indicates either a lack of imagination, a lack of linguistic skill, or both.
With everything except actual slurs and the Australian comma on the menu, that claim holds a bit more fucking weight than if it's used to deny all vulgar language.
Anyway I liked the one session of Monster Hearts I played in 2015, but I don't know if I'd have been comfortable dealing with that source material long enough for a campaign even if the group stayed as compatible for even 3 sessions as they were for just one.
