There totally are stains of toxic E. Coli. They produce poisons that can make you very sick or even kill you. That's what is supposed to be meant by "E. Coli outbreaks". Since the dominant non-toxic varieties are commensal intestinal flora in almost everyone.

Discovering E. Coli in general is slightly more surprising than discovering Nitrogen gas, but only slightly. Discovering a toxic coli, like on that spinach from a few years back, is an epidemiological emergency that could easily result in dead children.

I feel stupid*. I had to look price-fixing up to see what that meant. Also, I am not surprised to see Qantas involved in that. They are worst-tier Australian airlines, including paying a guy in a pub to glue duck wings onto a car and drive you to the location.

That Japan Earthquake/Tsunami is worrisome. I understand they're having some problems with one of the nuclear power plants. The generators were damaged by the tsunami, so the coolant systems were knocked out. The stuff I've been reading says they're on top of it, but...yeah.

And around a thousand deaths. Jesus Humbert Christ. And Japan is an earthquake-prepared nation. Seems a lot of the buildings are designed to take this sort of thing into account.

I heard about that. I think their earthquake and tsunami preparedness made the damage far less severe than it would have been, but I don't think there's a lot that can defend you from an 8.9.

I can't fucking remember) seem to have a somewhat open relationship, so she probably got pissed that you were chasing off prospective cybering partners, but couldn't exactly come out and say that.

The sad thing is, I would have understood if she had been honest and said that. I've known her for years, and she seems pretty big on adopting a persona. I don't think in the years I've posted with her and the couple of times we've gotten drunk together in real life that I really know her at all.

I become very alarmed when I get drunk with someone and don't feel I know them in the end.

Is that from a tabloid newspaper? Not only is silicone biologically inert (which is one reason why it's used for implants), but snakes aren't bloodsuckers or anything. If that snake ingested silicone, then that model's missing a breast.
