I received a bubble wrapped CD from Amazon recently.
It had a split right down the front, big crack.

Never ordering CDs from them again.

On the upside you can likely get it returned and replaced with no extra charge.

Also, given the presumptive obsolescence of CDs, that isn't so dramatic a condemnation as one could offer.
