Eh, the link cables that me and my friends had sucked, making it difficult to get Alakazam and Beedrill was also crazy fucking fast in that game, so the only two Alakazams I fought were my rival's and Sabrina's, and I had outleveled both of them (since Koga's, Erika's, and Agatha's Pokemon are all weak against Bug, not to mention all the Bikers and Rockets... Poison took double damage from Bug in G1, and all of those people used Poison), and easily rocket launcher tagged their asses with Twin Needle.

Slowpoke/Slowbro and Psyduck/Golduck. were also Psychic, as was Starmie (their other types being Water, of course, but all of those other than maybe Starmie were rather slow).

With pretty much anything else I remember that Alakazam was a bitch and a half to fight, though.

And yeah, Parasect is the other good bug in G1; I've used it a few times with moderate to great success, but as you said, it is slow.

Also, Fire, Flying, Bug, and/or Poison damage fucking murdered it.... but due to the magic of switching out, that wasn't ever an issue for me.

That doesn't really strike me as a particularly jovial or sorrowful quote. It's pretty irate, actually, compared to a fairly placid background image. I guess she's dressed all late medieval/Renaissance-ey? Which is when gender roles were really, really entrenched? I dunno.

fbmf doesn't know what words are blocked, and he's willing to let PR stay even though PR has never contributed anything but shit to this forum? I'm sure if he typed [EDITED] in every post, he'd still be here, circumventing the forum filter isn't really a banning thing if being a horrendous troll in lower case with no punctuation isn't.

I have to admit, I always wonder what the people who got banned actually did to get banned. Cause it seems anything short of actual physical violence wouldn't be enough.
