Old joke:
Three preachers and their wives are in a horrible car accident. All six of them die. They go to the Pearly Gates for judgment.
Saint Peter looks at the first preacher and says, "You can't come in here. You loved money too much. You loved money so much, you married a woman because her name was Penny. Get out of here!"
He looks at the second preacher and says, "You can't come in here. You loved liquor too much. You loved drinking so much, you married a woman because her name was Sherry. Get out of here!"
The third preacher turns to his wife and says, "Well, Fanny, we might as well give it up..."

He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

We should take a stand to ban this dangerous Chemical substance! The liberal media has been ignoring this subject for too long.

Welcome, to IronHell.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.
That is a great joke. Penn & Teller did a signature drive for one of their shows, but it's a classic troll. Unfortunately, when people don't take the time to educate themselves on the environment, it can really undermine the whole movement's credibility.
For example, biodiversity is a huge deal. Everyone gets warm and fuzzy about the plight of cheetahs, because they're basically giant kitties. You'll hear a lot less outcry about other deserving species though. Right now, African communities are on track to wipe out an entire macroscopic species by the end of the year (Dracunculus) through habitat destruction and deliberate slaughter.

Ayup. I find myself amused as well. Who is the woman, though? Rowling?

Photobucket has now messed up at least 2 of my comic uploads that way. I'll try a mediafire link. No pun intended. But first, 2 more images while I boot up the other computer. There should be an edit to this post pretty soon.erik wrote:I zoomed in on the looong comic with the blue whale and it did me no good because it was all pixelated and I haven't put points into my CSI Zoom-In skill (I know, I know, crappy min-maxing on my part).
Any chance for a legible version?
How does this work? No Photobucket conversion should cut down on the image corruption.

In some places, scrap metal is valuable enough for people to make significant amounts of money cannibalizing commemorative bronze plaques and aluminum garbage containers. I'm doing some research for the East Bay Regional Park District right now, and its really interesting seeing what problems face parks next to highly urbanized zones with recycling centers.Doom wrote:Hey, those are phat lewts...a friend of gets (buys) the scrap near a US artillery range for resale, suprisingly amount of money there.
