delve
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

Players?

(I know this isn't the most action-packed part of the adventure, but I guarantee it'll pick up a little later on.)

The tunnel down below is so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. If y'all are heading down there, I'll need a marching order.

The three questions seem to me to be 1. Do the sneaky guys want to be sneaky? 2. Who's hiding behind Isandro? 3. Is anyone staying up top?

I'd like my dude to go down, and probably take position 5-6, but can do whatever someone else suggests.

The tunnel's just one narrow passage, not much room to sneak.

I'd say we go down as...
1) barbarian
2) scholar
3) Pirate

1) Noble/Soldier
2) Scholar
3) Martial Disciple

The guys who parry things stand in the front, and the perceptive people are in the back in case of sneak attacks and stuff falling from the ceiling. Also on the off chance someone is tempted to leap head first into a pile of goo, there's two other people to restrain them.

When we reach an area where there's room to sneak and explore, Taotie and Velasco can go sneak around quiet like while the armored folks clank around obvious like.

That marching order and general plan sounds good to me.

...and Whipstitch PM'd that Isandro will take up the rear. That would make the marching order (by my understanding)

1) Karlus (lead)
2) Kamoses
3) Velasco
4) Taotie
5) Neb
6) Isandro (tail)

Also, Kamoses has offered to do his sink-into-a-trance spell again (because that's worked so well before). So, quick show of hands: delve or divination?

Delve, because even though my dude would always be in favor of more divination the pace could stand to be picked up.

There is about enough room for two people to shuffle around to rearrange the marching order, but for now we'll assume that Karlus describes the door for those who cannot see it.

So, I'm about to go on a family vacation for a couple of weeks, which means that my posting is going to be somewhat erratic. I don't know how erratic since i don't know what kind of internet access I'll have, but I guess if my input is needed and I haven't posted after a couple of days AH can play my character for me. He's pretty simple, in all fairness.

So, basic recap: Hired to retrieve the book of elder lore from the forbidden shrine before Katsetshuset could get it, the PCs have been only half successful - they have half the book, and Katsetshuset has half the book. Now they find themself back in the desert of horrors, trying to decide what to do - return to the City of Magicians? Or cross the desert to some other place, far from Katsetshuset and his dire sorceries?
