I'd be cool. Really I have the same problem as Sirocco; it'll probably take me a bit to make another character (Gilles was my first 2e character, and I'm proud he lasted as long as he did given that.)

Probably going to be an Ogre Mage or Alaghi if I roll well, and a Lizard Man (or maybe Bullywug) if I roll poorly. In Skills and Powers it says any humanoid race can become a psionicist, but in the Complete Psionics Handbook it says that only humans and demihumans can. Which would apply? I kinda want to play a Sleestak-style lizard man with psychic powers.

Also, what character generation method are we using? The dice rolling site that was used earlier is down, so I can't recall.

Well, right now it looks like we're headed toward a save-point style "don't reroll your characters just yet" continuation. Anyone else game to continue the game?

Well, hell. I've done worse than three players...

Can I join in on the game? I haven't read anything in the thread other than the first post and the more recent few posts where it looks like everyone wiped and a new party needs to be assembled to tackle the dungeon again.

In terms of character I'd play, I have the 2e core books right on my shelf, but haven't looked at Player's Option in like 13 years and never really used the Complete books, so I'll probably be open to advice in that area.

Well, they're in the middle of a dungeon right now, but there's a path to the underdark (sortof). So you could take over a PC where the player has wandered off, or if you can whip something up quick you can wander in from the underdark.

Oh alright, just hand me a sheet of whoever is gone.

I think Tim, Xaxus, and Lucas Earth-Worker's players haven't responded recently. Take your pick.

Xaxus seems the most survivable, so I'll go with him.

A friend of mine is interested in picking up one of the remaining characters.

Oh! I missed that the IC and the OOC were separate threads, and I was only subscribed to this one.

I'll have to spend some time tomorrow to catch up on current events I think, but I'll just follow the rest of the group until then.

Perhaps we should move the statue in place and die fighting the zombies

Guys, we have no reason to move back the statue. As far as we know, we just cleverly disabled a trap...

ETA: re: next moves

We wait for the skeleton to open the door and trigger the trap we thought we disabled.

To be fair to the bad guys, I think the DM should reroll the trap, so that they don't get instazapped like last time.

Language check on the chanting. (Dorgan speaks dwarf, common, orc, and gnome.)

It's a Gnomish dialect; the main song is about what how they're going to spend the silver at the bawdy house when they get home, but there's several subrefrains about gear linkages, traction control, lubricant, and ball bearings.

I figure our best bet is to fire at the gnomes and when the owlbear charges have something in the way to slow it down enough for Atani to shoot it to death.

What spells does everyone have ready?

Gilles has:
dancing lights, faerie fire, darkness 1/day each (Drow)
clairvoyance, detect lie, suggestion, dispel magic 1/day each (Drow Priest)
hide from undead, cure light wounds, detect magic 1/day each (currently prepared spells)

Darkness might be good on the owlbear. The gnomes can probably figure out a way to counter it.

Everybody happy with carrying forward their actions for the new round?

Depends. Can Gilles still see the duckbunnies? Does it look like Flintbeard and Tim are dead, or just pinned? There's something Gilles might try to do if he thinks that they are alive.

Otherwise, yeah, he continues on with his actions.

if Drogan can get to Xaxus this round Xaxus will wait (if necessary) and then Cure Light Wounds.

Otherwise, Xaxus will sling at a gnome again.

I dont know how much control I have. If I can ill get up and try to kill gnomes with bow or blade but if I'm just being carried on a duckbunny tide then I just keep doing that

I think these duckbunnies might be an illusion. Should I try dispelling them?

Alright. You have your duckbunnies. Now what.
