Bone Rider had joke ability names, but covered the concept of necromantic knight who rides an undead steed - a totally serious concept that D&D needs to actually cover.

If someone actually played an Elothar, rather than understanding that it's a formalising of the concept of custom on-the-fly prestige classes to fix things/suit individual campaigns, then I will laugh and cry at the same time.
