Artifact protection idea request

While amusing, it's a toss-up as to whether my group would think of doing that. Even then, it'd have to be a quest and a half to get the thing even partially functioning after the crash. Also, that's just one idea out of a list.

My group would be more like Avo's and probably be baffled by the priceless deity artifact used to guard the bauble. It's like putting your wallet in a safe made of solid gold.

My group was pretty sad once when an airship battle ended with the bad guys scuttling their ship. That was just a dirigible with lightning cannons, not an orbital death ray.
