He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

BC Celebrates 'End of Traditional Marriage,' Perpetual Female Singlehood | NewsBusters.org
The mainstream media's campaign against traditional marriage sunk to new depths on NBC's October 11 "Today." Anchor Ann Curry teased a nearly seven-minute piece on the rapid increase of single women in society by touting "a new spin on romance, dating, and what some are calling the end of traditional marriage."
And that was just the opening.
NBC Correspondent Jenna Wolfe gushed: "A new report says more women are choosing to be single and loving every minute of it."
Translation: Men are not needed for a modern, educated woman to be happy and fulfilled. Get rid of the useless deadbeats.
Denigration of men was sprinkled throughout the segment. Wolfe quoted "author and single woman" Kate Bolick: "A major factor [in the rise of single women] is the rise of women in the workplace. As women have climbed ever higher, men have been falling behind. So instead of marrying down, women choose to be single and successful."
Translation: Chances are any guy you meet isn't as professionally successful as you. Why bother with the loser long-term?

You know: choice isn't a bad thing. I don't see the big deal about this.
It's not like this is some attack on "traditional" marriage in the sense that it's being destroyed. It's just people are being more open to alternatives. People aren't breaking into people's houses and pulling wives and husbands apart by force. It's still a valid choice; just one of several.

You know, there are some guys here who are single but looking (Count) and some guys here who are single but reserve the right to look one of these days (me). So, it's kind of depressing from our perspective.

Nobody owes you a piece. Get over yourself.
I am judging the philosophies and decisions you have presented in this thread. The ones I have seen look bad, and also appear to be the fruit of a poisonous tree that has produced only madness and will continue to produce only madness.

And according to this article,

they used battery powered clippers as well. Now I don't know anything actually about the Amish, but isn't that against pretty much all they stand for?

Dude, come on. He wasn't claiming that women owed him anything, he was just commenting on how he felt in the area. Maybe he does feel the way you seem to have taken it, or maybe he doesn't, but he didn't say anything about it either way.PoliteNewb wrote:So...it's depressing to you that people making choices for themselves interferes with your ability to get tail? I know everyone loves to jump on the "bash on tzor" bandwagon but at least do it when it makes a little sense.

The Amish aren't against technology. They are against being part of society. That's a huge difference. They don't want to be hooked up to power grids, they don't want phone lines, they don't want anything to do with the rest of us.
Electricity generated on the property is just fine. And the Amish probably have the most advanced pneumatic technology on the planet. I'm not making that up.

No, people always make choices; even in a sea of hetrosexuals there is no guarentee that I would get any tail. But contraty to the popular sterotype, some of these girls were HOT. And when you had events like Fantasy Fest where they would go about in body paint ...PoliteNewb wrote:So...it's depressing to you that people making choices for themselves interferes with your ability to get tail? And I'm not talking about the whole sex thing; dating isn't just about the sex you know.
Fortunately, as far as I was concerned, sexual orientation goes out the window when SINGING is involved; gay and straight men and women all got together in my Gilbert and Sullivan group. Shame though that the only straight girl in that group was already married. But, hey, what a looker. Ironically, (as in the case with all G&S operettas the high soprano always falls in love with the tenor) the tenor was gay, but it's acting ... right?
Double Irony: She left Key West about six months before I did; her husband got a better job.

It's not really depressing from my perspective, despite Tzor trying to lump me in with him. I might be incorrect in my assumption, but I'm pretty sure the type of woman that would marry another woman if given the legal right to do so more than likely isn't going to find me attractive.
