I'm one of them. And I agree: your thread is useless for finding information. I never bothered telling you because I didn't think you'd do anything. If you really wanted to, you could, I dunno, EDIT THE FIRST POST, and put a big detailed desription of the system so far and the campaign so far (making it obvious which parts are the Arturius campaign and which are the system you are making to deal with the campaign).

But, I never thought you'd bother.
If that's a request, say so. If you're just trying to be rude, continue.

I'll hazard a guess and say that it's both. Just because people are snarky with you doesn't mean they don't have valid points.

Don't you get it, Elennsar?

You've demonstrated yourself to be so resistant to people's suggestions that they've stopped suggesting. They've stopped asking you for things because your knee-jerk reaction is "nuh-uh."

Parthenon is one of those people. He just said so. Your response was to tell him to say it again because you didn't get it - you can't even tell the difference between an honest application for help and rudeness. What's more, you didn't extend the same courtesy you demand. You didn't ask him for clarification.
My son makes me laugh. Maybe he'll make you laugh, too.

I am fine with suggestions. What I am not fine with is people treating what I want and think as barely worth considering and thinking that I should bow before their wisdom.

No, my response is to say that if he genuinely wants me to do it, then he should ask, not simply say "I don't think you'll bother doing it even if I do ask."

If that's a request, he should ask me to do it, not make rude comments about me not doing what other people want simply because they want me to do something differently.

Snarky people with valid points should either stop being snarky or learn that I don't have any great interest in their help without them doing so.

It doesn't inspire an interest in having someone as a co-developer if they're going to be an ass when making comments/observations/whatever.

Dude, you fail at most of the primary currencies of internet forum communication. The only tools we have left are snark and condescension. :P

People have tried talking to you and asking you things, but you dismiss them out of hand, ignore them, or redirect the discussion. So they gave up.

Why would Parthenon ask you for something when he believes - as previous experience dictates - that you won't dignify it with a productive response?

Yeah, heaven forbid that you actually behave in a polite and respectful manner.

You don't inspire any fondness for having your help when you act like an asshole and then expect me to listen to you because you think you have something useful to say.

Quite the reverse.

Because previous experience dictates nothing of the sort.

People have tried to insist that I make a game that I have no desire to make. Am I honestly supposed to favor suggestions that make being a hero easy and/or safe in a game where being a hero isn't supposed to be either?

Apparently, "productive' means "does what we want".

That depends entirely on the goal.

If the goal is to find out what my maximum tolerance for rudeness is, its a good idea. If the goal is to enjoy doing this, tolerating rudeness is a very bad idea.

Holy fuck. People have been trying to be respectful for as long as they can stand, and you haven't responded at all. You are deliberately ignoring every attempt to help you so that you can pretend to be a victim of the big bad forum trolls.

False.

I am perfectly willing to listen to and accept any attempt to help that isn't some form of "I think you should do this even though you think its a bad thing because I think its a good thing." or rude.

I'm closing the thread.

Also, to the multitude of folks that reported posts: I am looking into it, but the quantity of complaints means it is going to take some time to unravel. be patient.
