:wtf: If you are going to play free-form Railroad Tycoon, why even have numbers? Is this guy retarded or something? He seems unable to understand why someone would want to know the rules of a game before playing it. WTF, I ask you? WTF?

If B is a little bigger than A and you want to know which is bigger, B is obviously a little bigger.

Wow, its like a political debate.

Do any of you know why WotC posters will say that the Fighter is horribly underpowered, and then go and claim that 4+ skill points/level would fix it?

Because they are looking at one of the problems (being underpowered) with the Fighter, and attempting to provide a solution for a different problem (having nothing to do outside of combat) with the Fighter. And they aren't really providing a *good* solution to that problem either, just the most obvious band-aid where many sutures are needed.

Hey_I_Can_Chan at [unixtime wrote:1181379289[/unixtime]]Seriously, why else would you even bother to model except for tactical advantage? If the model's physicality ceases to be an issue, can't you just use cardboard chits with numbers on them and push them around the gaming table and say you're playing WH40K?

I tried that. Painted bases with logos and colors and labels and weapons, like it was some sort of futuristic 3D display.

...The modellers wouldn't let me play with them, tho.

Obviously, because you have no life beyond the game. Plus, it a commonly known fact that supermodels eagerly await to meet a guy with a well-painted army. Didn't you receive the memo?

Given the current rules that would be like leaving half your character sheet blank and just writing things that are useful right now on it. I'd write more but the supermodel who dates me because I reply to posts on a D&D messageboard wants to go to dinner now.

I must have seen the wrong memo. I thought you had to have civil war minis and they had to be in 15mm scale in order to get the supermodels. And then you needed to throw in a model raiload on the scene, because the chicks really dig model railroads that make mini smoke clouds as they move.

Nope, sorry. That was the memo from before the new Heroclix game. Nowadays, fantasy models are to females what sexy lingerie is to men.

P.S. Try remodeling to make your house look like a bat cave. That gets them every time, especially if you wear a Batman costume at the time.

Because you belong to the official NWN forums?

I mean, seriously, it seems that you belong to more webforums than anyone I know. At this point I would have hoped that you would have noticed that most of the interwebs is full of either /b/-tards or nub-tards.

I do spend most of my time trolling the internets, it is true. But /b/tards I can handle; I am one, nothing they could do is different. But idiots like that, people who say these things and aren't trolling... Those are just too much.

I find it disturbing that you are affected more by someone claiming a certain PrC is broken than by child porn or pictures of cats being tortured to death (I went to that /b/ a second time. Shouldn't have done that :()

You're also the guy who googled Doug Winger. I figure you're an internet masochist.

I use to like those forums. Then I read the following gem:

That's what you get for discussing with gazebos. Didn't Eric's story teach you to avoid even being near them?

Eric's story is the reason I want to create the Naming Foundation one day. We stand for the Cult, the Canny and the Scrutable! :thumb:

The sole reason I read RPG.net nowadays is to find stupid threads. Speaking of which, Shirak, why bother arguing with the dude in this thread about sneak attack builds? When somebody says that the rules mandate there only be eleven classes and non-PHB classes are illegal they are either hopelessly clueless, a robot, or trolling (rather poorly).

P.S. I find that the funniest threads appear on I Would Knife Fight A Man and Story Games, provided you're conversant enough with RPG theory to recognise how ridiculous it generally makes people sound.

I have a hero complex. I seriously cannot perceive something as a challenge without trying to meet it. And you have to admit, the stupidity of this guy is pretty impressive.

Right now I'm trying to succeed on the Will check to walk away but I have nothing better to do so it's not working.

Why don't you have him explain how the context of his statements require that those are the only classes, ever?
