Are your bones like... fine porcelain, Koumei? Or has Australia's death level reached "This continent is now Nintendo hard" levels?

EDIT: Actually, wait. It's not worth getting into. I've had a streak of uncommon good fortune for the past couple weeks, I'm not wasting time arguing with low people.

Prak, haven't you read the Real World Player's Manual? A roll of 1 - 4 on the d20 dex roll is altomatically a critical failure! The real world DM's a bitch, you know. And that critical failure table is murder! It makes Rolemaster seem mild by comparison.

Yeah, my dominant arm. I can still manage the essentials - typing, pouring tea, vacuming (yes, I helped clean the house with one arm in a sling. It's not a blank cheque for laziness), carrying shopping, masturbating and so on.

But annoyingly, drawing is somewhat out of the question.
From what you described, my father had a very similar injury about 20 years ago. Shoulder injuries are a bitch, but it should heal to about 95% of where it was beforehand if you don't fuck with it.

Don't forget the respawn times are horrific, basically forever.

There was this one guy who respawned in like 3 days, but had a special hook-up.

It's worse than that, I actually read he was related to the DM...

I heard he was actually a DMPC. (I.E. A player character run by the DM, as opposed to a non player character run by the DM.)

Actually, considering that he had to return to the astral plane 40 days after the spell, I'd would say it was just a pretty crappy triggered delay gate spell.

Nah, this old school, man. The rules in the DMG are off limits to the players, although various subclasses of the Scientist class are making slow progress at figuring some of the 'real' rules out.

That was always the case, but more detail as to what happened:

I was taking the rhinoc- I mean, the dog, for a walk. He started galloping, so I put my foot down to slow him down, slid on wet grass and mud, then went sailing through the air, arm still outstretched holding the lead, and landed on the shoulder more-or-less directly.

Ah, yes. I forgot you're tiny. I didn't know your dog is huge. This makes sense now. Hope you feel better soon.

Yeah, he's half Kelpie, with the other half consisting of Boxer, Dalmatian and Tractor. As well as some "Misc" like all good dogs have.

My British Literature teacher has moved the final exam to the week before. Then he reduced the exam from 5 days to 3. Then he said he would grant no extensions.

I was retaking my lit courses in order to better be able to transfer to a 4 year, but I will be happy if I never see the inside of a classroom again...

Oh, it's been clear ever since the Quantum Mechanics 'errata' the MC sprang on us that he's just been making shit up. There clearly is no robust subatomic particle system in the DMG, but the MC keeps pretending there is. Flavors of quarks? Are you fucking kidding me? I just wish I was part of the team who put together that awesome LHSC build so I could watch the MC improvise in real time.

And he totally keeps changing the rules. You remember the 4 base elements phase?

Wait, you've seen the DMG?

Actually it was 5; PC's aren't supposed to know about the 20 sided die.

Yeah, I remember the 4 base elements phase, very basic. Then there was the edition after that, where everything was created out of elements. Then came the edition after that, where the devs simplified it all down to just three things: protons, neutrons, and electrons. But this new .5 edition crap, where there are like neutrinos and quarks and a jillion other particles is just too complicated for the newbie; I hear they're going try a box set with just superstrings or something.

I also remember proponents of the new designs got called all sorts of names with their insistence that it was all a big conspiracy theory of gravity fairies. They were totally wrong until they were, like totally right.

But one piece of advice: don't take any levels in ID, it's a trap class filled with trap options.

Yeah, but that wasn't a rules change, that was just an early (bad) guess at what the hell might be written on the other side of the screen. I'm pretty sure that the game was detailed to the atomic level, which is why it wasn't until those powergamers split the atom for advantage that we started finding all kinds of truly bogus particles. But the real problem is that the rules for light must be messed up on some level, which is a problem since we use it every second of every day. This wave/particle bullshit is clearly the result of an inconsistency somewhere that no-one will admit to, and Special Relativity totally smacks of a kludge (I suspect the MC spent so much time writing up this solar system that he wants a big head start before he has to do another one in any detail).

Most scientists are just powergamers, dumping Str, Dex and Con for more Int. Hawking's player went a bit far though.

Yeah, Hawkings is definitely a munchkin, total one-trick pony, min/maxxed all to heck.

Hawking isn't that smart. He's probably looking stuff up on that little computer he has.

On a personal note: I now have curtains on all my windows and throw rugs in the two living areas of my apartment. It is starting to look like a place where someone lives...

Hawkings is the prime example why Unearthed Arcana shouldn't have been printed.
