Recoome as a pro wrestler. Frieza as a fussy british-accented fop. Vegeta and Piccolo as the straight men, and Mr. Popo as an unspeakable horror.

I love DBZA.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

--The horror of Mario

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

He used to be.

Then it shifted more to Piccolo, since the Frieza saga.

So... he was the straight man like six episodes when he was standing next to Nappa. Yeah that isn't a straight man, that is just a slightly less crazy man standing next to a crazier man.

He was the guy to point out how stupid others were being, and usually had the sane idea (Let's kill them now before the strong one shows up, Nappa go have fun, WTF is up when Frieza's henchmen). Then he got to, oh, the Ginyu Force and that's when he started shifting. He lasted twenty episodes or so. Then he started talking about being a Super Saiyan and here we are.

DBZ does make a lot more sense if you look at it as the story of Vageta slowly slipping into insanity.

One can be the straight man and still be crazy. You just have to be the least crazy member of your group. When your group is "you and Abridged Nappa" I think you're the straight man of that duo by default, if not the entire cast (which I'll concede he wasn't).

I actually think Tien is the most straight man of anyone in DBZ Abridged, but he doesn't show up enough to count much. Trunks has been the main straight man ever since he showed up, although whether that will last remains to be seen.

And Vegeta was going insane earlier than the Ginyu Force. A good example is when he meets up with Gohan on Namek for the first time. Vegeta was really just decent at offing Frieza's other henchmen there. But given all of the dignity he's lost throughout the series (having grown up with Nappa, losing his chance at immortality twice, losing to the Z-Fighters, having to work with the people he lost to, always being behind the dumbest of the lot in power, and occasionally being haunted by Nappa) I think his transition to full-blown insanity isn't unreasonable.

Someone said they wanted action anime
I'd suggest burst angel

If you are looking for action with fanservice, ikkitousen.

Zombie action with fan service Highschool of the dead
Zombie action with less fan service Shikabane Hime

In other notes, I started watching Ah! my goddess. I won't be finishing it. Every heard of mary sue contrivances? Well, that is the plot of the anime. It is so bad that even I can't watch it (and I watched Queen's Blade...)
Peace favour your sword.

I only play 3.x

And yet i can't find any that i'd say are pretty good.
Also, i can only recommend Season 1 of Railfun.
Season 2 . . no, i could not keep watching that.

Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

Hmm, it has actually become pretty hard to find what i would consider good AMV no matter what series i enter as a search variable . .
things like this:

are sadly few and very far between nowadays <.<

Log Horizon 2 better deal with more than just the west and getting home. Will Isuzu abandon her pet dog when they can go home? Will anyone stay behind for the joy of fighting like maybe Crusty?

This story has a long way it could go and be much better than SAO ever could imagine to be, and go much farther than .//hack.

Daily Lives of High School Boys is indeed pretty great - there's like one episode that was only mediocre, but almost all of them of them had 3+ really amazing skits. No overarching plot, really, but it was quite funny.

I love DBZA.
Is it strange that I prefer the abridged version to the actual show? I mean Kai was fairly good, but still, DBZA is way more entertaining.

Baby Steps is not bad so far. If her Flag Breaks is jsut your average harem anime. It actually seems to be making fun of Hayate Combat Butler, which makes fun of EVERYTHING.

Baby Steps seems like a more fun less sports version of Prince of Tennis.

The Irregular at Magic High School seems to have a nice new twist to the whole magic school genre, and has some Code Gaess visitors to it!

DBZA has numerous advantages over the original show. First of all, it's paced much better, but it's not like Kai didn't also fix that. More importantly, Dragonball was originally supposed to be a comedy. Now, maybe it's just that Japanese humor doesn't work in American culture, but it was never at all funny to me, even as a kid, and the series gradually evolved into pure action. Despite that, though, it never really got any more depth to it. It was still exactly as shallow a show as before, it had just started taking itself a bit more seriously and while that's better than constantly delivering bad jokes, it's still greatly improved to have the show recognize its fundamentally ridiculous premise and make actual comedy out of it.
