You go on ferris wheel rides and they say nice things to you. That's all.

I was going to do the PWT thing, but the beard guy's Haxorus is faster than mine, and thus can Outrage my entire team. Pokemon battles are not fun if you can't just win by being a higher level.

I'm happy to search Hidden Grottos, be a Pokestar, do the White Forest Hollow thing and take care of Join Avenue Ace Place.

Pretty much, though I'll probably go back to it at some point.

Long story short, HeartGold/SoulSilver wins everything the whole "rematching Gym Leaders" concept, even if you can fight only about 1/2 the amount of them.

AND NOW LET US NEVER SPEAK OF IT AGAIN.

I'm kind of tempted to replace Axeface's Sword Dance or Shadow Claw* with a decent Fighting move if I can find one. Is its best option Brick Break though? Currently going through the process of trading with Curtis and basically evolving all the random things - I was really lazy with so many pokemon, catching (X), then going and catching (X+) instead of evolving (X), but some things actually require you to do the evolving.

Besides, I might want to do the "All Bug", "All Fighting", "All Water" etc. supremacy challenges (beat the Elite 4+1 with a team consisting of all ____ Type. It would have to include Double-Typed ones, given Flying doesn't actually exist on its own with the exception of Arceus).

Also tempted to buy a 3DS. Firstly to get that weird thing that lets you capture Tornadus and friends, but secondly because a new Mystery Dungeon is coming out (3DS only), and I loved the shit out of that. It looks like one of the playable starters this time round is Axew.

*As handy as Shadow Claw can be, it does mean all three of my attacks have trouble with Steel types.

Can you Move Tutor Superpower to Axeface?

If so, that's probably your best bet; I have it on my Tyrannitar.

Shadow Claw is handy, but if you have anything that knows Dark moves of equal power then I'd get rid of it (in terms of move type, Dark is a bit better than Ghost, since nothing's immune to Dark and Dark damages Psychics and Ghosts just as well as Ghost does.)

EDIT: Also just beat the Elite Four for the second time.

Assuming it ships to you, and that you're not planning on buy used, I would suggest buying the 3DS through Toys R Us' website. Not because I work for them, but because right now they'll give you a $20 gift card for buying a 3DS (along with a Mario accessory pack, but I assume you don't give a shit about that).

Why not Earthquake?

I have Tyranitar and Rampardos for Earthquake. And yeah, Tyranitar can Crunch, Floatzel can Crunch, Weavile can Night Slash... not to mention Jellicent's Shadow Ball for Ghost coverage.

Huh, Axeface can indeed learn Superpower. This is definitely happening.

Kind of tempted to change Tyranitar to Crunch (STAB), Earthquake (awesome), Stone Edge (STAB) and Stealth Rock. If I can get a Cloyster to set up Poison Spikes, then I'll totally do that and then teach Hydreigon Dragon Tail and slap enemies around for massive entry damage.

Other than that having Superpower in lieu of Stealth Rock, that's my Tyranitar's moveset, for the same reasons.

Well, I replaced Shadow Claw with Superpower, put a PP Max on it, and have never looked back. So many Steel types post-game that it's just worth it.

When I try to solo the Elite 5, I'll replace False Swipe with Shadow Claw, just to deal with the Ghost and Psychic ones. I mean, I could just Outrage everything, but it's a pain having to spend a turn curing Confusion.

I went with both dances and Earthquake & Outrage, personally. I didn't want my general purpose attack to pack a debuff.

Who misses the Missyno days? I sure as hell do.

Bleh.

Missingno. was such a champ. They should just acknowledge the awesomeness and add it as an actual pokemon - with the old graphics and stats, with a weird (but non-glitch) capture method, and without the various glitches. At least as a way of saying "You all remember this dude, he was cool."

Truly, an era was lost when Missingno Missyno Missinoe that cheat dude who could give you infinite items was not included in later games.

Well, I couldn't solo Iris. I had to un-confuse against Lapras, ate a Blizzard, punched it out, then was on low HP for Haxorus. My Outrage took it to 1 HP (focus sash!), and its Outrage finished the job.

I might go through for the All Dragon Team, All Water Team, All Bug Team etc. but fuck the solo challenge.

Unless I get a new AR, where I'll go in with a Wonder Guard Spiritomb like everyone else.

Come to think of it, I would be okay with MissingNo having the Ability "Here have 60 Master Balls" (or whatever the number was).

It was £%@ Master Balls, which ended up being like 160-ish?

In some, but not all, playthroughs, Doing the hack made Professor Oak appear and challenge me to a pokemon duel. His team included Missingno, and several other nonexistent pokemon. It was awesome.

256 would make a lot of sense.

Well, I ended up going and buying a 3DSXL during my lunch break. I should now be able to trade with myself all the time, and hopefully download stuff.

For shits and giggles, I always duplicated the fossils. Used that to get some really awesome-statted stuff for Stadium and so forth. Breeders, too, in GSC when you could start doing egg moves.

Hahaha, you could be a shady Aerodactyl salesman.

"Psst, hey you. Want to buy a giant flying rock dinosaur that kind of looks like a dragon? It's a better deal than that other guy's magikarp."

Also, there really needs to be a "Dragon" gym leader that rocks out with Gyarados, Charizard, Milotic, Aerodactyl, Tyranitar and... maybe Aggron or Kangaskhan or Steelix? Basically a team of things that look like dragons/dinosaurs but aren't Dragon type. Bonus points for mostly taking neutral hits from Dragon and Ice (with a x2 here and a x1/2 there).

That's not dragon. That's Godzilla-type pokemon.

------
True story: I sold a Kabuto to a classmate. For five dollars.

And still had a shitton of Dome Fossils leftover.

More seriously, it's been a thing for me to, when I have a chance, trade over an Aerodactyl egg at the beginning of a game. Maybe a couple of other things.

(In HGSS, I would commit grievous bodily harm for a Torchic egg. If it knew Rockslide as an egg move, no telling what I'd do.)

Aerodactyl starts off knowing Wing Attack. It's got higher attack than most stuff, STAB, Wing Attack is a better move than most of what's available early on.

So yeah. I'm a cheating sonofabitch, but I've got my big rock-skinned dinosaur, so I don't care. ::sunglasses::

One of the fossils introduced in 5Gen is the Plume Fossil, which creates Archen -> Archeops. Think of it as Aerodactyl Mk II. It's Flying*/Rock and is based on the Archaeopteryx, which Firefox awesomely recognises as a word. It has 140 Attack, 112 Spattack and 110 Speed (Aerodactyl has 105, 60 and 130 respectively). It has a shitty ability, but a pretty awesome move pool. It literally revives with Agility, so you can just flat-out double that Speed really.

*The pokedex entry says it can't fly. It can't actually learn Fly.

Archeops can learn Fly, but Archen can't.

It's like Doduo/Dodrio in that regard.

When I attempted the Missyno cheat, my game near but exploded from glitches. It was awesome mulitplied by three cats.
