I think the cleric revisited is a parody of this thread

Bah, must learn to read better... apologies all.

Also, for the record, the CO Board is having a betting match on a duel between this:
http://forums.gleemax.com/leaving.php?d ... 438[br]and this:
http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.ph ... r]remember that the lightning warrior gets full spells of a unspecialized wizard, full bab, a d20 for hit die, and two-weapon fighting (to make up for the ability to specialize and have a familiar).

and that the cleric fix gets Miracle 1x/day (oh noes!).

Also, a RAW Planar Shepherd has entered the mix. My money is on the Planar Shepherd.

Yes. It leaves an active Astral Link subject to tracking for the entire period you're setting it up, and once the spell has actually been cast it leaves visible traces that forensic magicians can play with for 1 hour per force point.

Gah, I just read that ritual spellcasting crap. I thought it was going to be over when nightmarex swore to drop out because he was "tired of repeating himself," but then he comes back to call another poster a drama queen.

Someone on EN Word asked about Pun-Pun.

But this is the real kicker in the thread ...

wayne62682 wrote:Depending on whom you ask (mainly the sheep who follow Frank Trollman), Pun-Pun is based solely on the flavor text of the Sarrukh's ability, and not on any actual game mechanics. As was stated earlier, he's an example of Optimization gone wrong and the poster-boy for having a DM who applies common sense to rulings (despite the fact that nearly all powergamers I've met disregard common sense as not being RAW)

Now I have the urge to make a "sheep who follow Frank Trollman" T shirt. I was thinking of those sheep from Wallice and Gromit for the graphic, but then again how about Frank as the "Good Shepherd?"

On second thought, perhaps it should be made from wool.

The only interaction I had with Pun-Pun was to beat him in combat. Pun-Pun doesn't have infinite power, he has unlimited power. He actually has to grant himself every single power he wants to have (which in turn is based on the very generous assumption that granting "an extraordinary abilty" is actually "any extraordinary ability in the game" - which is kind of stretching it).

So people asked him to fight The Wish and the Word. He decided that he was going to grant himself the Infinite Spell Resistance of a Golem and then laugh at the Word and then when he was done he was going to drop some sort of death blast that would kill both brothers.

Except that like Vizzini he wasn't as smart as he thought he was, because actually The Word doesn't just have a huge spell penetration, he also has a Blasphemy and Holy Word as a Supernatural Ability. Which means that he bypasses SR entirely, so Pun-Pun granting himself immunity to "any spell that allows spell resistance" doesn't help. Hilariously enough, Pun-Pun dies mid-laugh.

In honor of Frank and his Sheep.

It's probably too late to get any T-Shirts in time for Gen Con but if people want I can set up something on Cafe Press.

Doesn't Pun-Pun have the Demilich's Magic Immunity(Ex)(which is different from a Golem's Spell Immunity and just shuts down any effects[specifically includes supernatural abilities] on not on the bypass list)?

AWESOME - OTOH, how come you don't have a problem with the whole "misuse His name" (presumably, His image too) issue? Just curious.

First I didn't use "His" name and second aside from possible the shroud of turin all images of Jesus tend to be symbolic ... it's not like he had artists or photographers following him around.

Just to make it clear, I'm not Christian, so that's nowhere near trying to "police" your faith, or anything of the like. On the curiosity side, then, what's the difference between using a symbol of Christ to talk about Frank, and using an honest-to-goodness picture of Christ (is any existed, and if you don't mind answering)?

A loser cult, of course ... in truth, Frank decides. :)

He does now. But only because they have continued to refine the character, for some reason (probably just in case someone challenges them to duel Frank again).

I don't know. What if we used F.D.R. instead? Neither is really Frank (at least I don't think Frank is F.D.R.) so the symbolism is lost in the details.

Well, I of course don't have a problem with a depiction of Jesus, and "sheep" would mesh much better with him; besides, I never understood why'd someone have a problem with that one above.

we have turned ev'ry one to his own way.

Pun-Pun, and any attempts to defeat Pun-Pun using similarly retarded methods are a pet project of the TO boards. Its down to a level one anything that can make a DC25 knowledge check to invoke DM fiat of a retarded Demon Lord from FC1.

They do it because they are bored and because it allows them to take turns raping the d20 system in a horrid orgy involving its own poorly written rules and math. I think there's some university plus level science in there also. But whatever. Its all theoretical, and its all pretty stupid.

Except for the rape. Everyone likes raping that dumb bitch d20.

I can gaurentee 100% that the sheep comment was aimed at me, despite the fact that I don't post on ENWorld or even READ their forums (and have been banned from their chat twice, once for arguing that arcane trickster wasn't munchkin) and I've been banned from the WOTC chat, where I used to talk to this guy.

I also don't need the Frank shirt - I already have a similiar one.
