Do you set the bottle down hard on the table? I think you can get the thing to overflow by either rapping it on the table good and hard, or smacking the top of the already open bottle.Cynic wrote:WHen I drink bottled beer, why does the beer's head start to rise and overflow?
I seem to do this everytime I drink.

I have a bunch of old-ish (Revised, 3rd, Ice Age, some Beta) magic cards. I want to unload them. Anyone have any advice on how? I'm not looking for top dollar, but I want to get a decent price for them if possible.
In this moment, I am Ur-phoric. Not because of any phony god’s blessing. But because, I am enlightened by my int score.
StarCityGames would likely be pretty good, if not as a buyer, then at least as a guide to how much they're worth. You can find them here.Count Arioch the 28th wrote:I have a bunch of old-ish (Revised, 3rd, Ice Age, some Beta) magic cards. I want to unload them. Anyone have any advice on how? Everything I learned about DnD, I learned from Frank Trollman.

...why is my morbid curiosity tempting me to download an eroge I don't even really give two shits about?
Actually, why does my morbid curiosity always lead to situations that make me want to throw up right after??

Deus Machina Demonbane. (Edit: They made a non-eroge game of it later, and also an awesome anime as well...
though the latter two dropped all the pornz from them which is fine with me. Not a fan of hentai either way)
For the dumbest of reasons, the bad ending caught my curiosity...

Nope, don't know it. I'll ask my friend if it's worth bothering.

The non-porn anime version of it is amazing, just from sheer WTF.icyshadowlord wrote:Deus Machina Demonbane. (Edit: They made a non-eroge game of it later, and also an awesome anime as well...

"What if Japan did Lovecraft?"
The answer is transformation sequences, busty maids, Dr West who's ROCK AND ROLLLLL, the necrololicon, and of course, giant robots.

...despite my curiosity, I didn't go through with downloading the eroge.
I guess common sense (or just my general dislike of eroge and hentai/preference to ecchi) struck me harder this time.

The Anime is suprisingly well researched on Mythos names and has explanatory citations at the end. Still I gave up after 5 episodes - and my tolerance for lousy anime is pretty high.
"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

Another question that annoys me...why is Hades almost always depicted as an evil being in fiction? Hell, he wasn't even half the prick that Zeus was in mythology. He's evil even in some D&D book... (Deities & Demigods, was it?)

Christianity has NOTHING to do with the Ancient Greek myths, for the love of God...when will those stupid christians learn that?

You'd think so. But Zeus is Chaotic Good because he is the Sky Father and thus equivalent to Jehova, and Hades is Neutral Evil because he is the Lord of the Underworld and thus equivalent to Satan.icyshadowlord wrote:Christianity has NOTHING to do with the Ancient Greek myths, for the love of God...when will those stupid christians learn that?

The D&D alignments got shoved through an extremely Christian lens, and so did all the Pagan gods that they imported.

Thanks for clarifiying, but I'd still prefer the Ancient Greek depiction over the Christian one in my own campaigns...oh, well.
Edit: And of course, I could also go with the depiction of Hades given in the Old Testament, which was closer to the original than the Christian one.

Nothing's really stopping me...except the fact that I'm not running any games with the Greek Pantheon in use...at least, not yet.

I need to find some small humanoid in D&D that advances by Hit Die. My vasharan pokemaster needs a regenerating "halfling" pokemon for detecting traps, and the way I've found to do it so far needs a base creature.
Other ways of making a halfling regenerate and advance by HD (and not a humanoid) are welcome.

huh? why not just create a monster LIKE a halfling? pokemon? D&D? that is just confusing to begin with....
