Not
sure what else to say here - thanks to Tokorona for his help, and big thanks to Frank&K for the material. I'll have the rest of the classes, PrCs, and variants that aren't current up done before the week's over, and I'm hoping to get the entirety of the Book of Gears up no more than two weeks after it's 'release'.

Oh yeah, and I know it looks ugly. I'm going to deal with the front page, formatting, and what not once I'm caught-up material wise.

That's pretty awesome.

Also for layout, maybe you could steal some ideas from http://www.d20srd.org/ ? Most notably background.

And more than a little scary.

Thank you.

Jester has a misprint in the class chart -- "Annoy the Gods" is listed twice.

Having said that, THANK YOU! This is the shit.

I'm a different guest than the guest who posted immeadiately before me.

Anyways, superb job! It looks really well-done. The only error or omission I've noticed is the lack of the Elothar Warrior of Bladereach (Dungeonomicon) PrC. Really, really awesome job.

Sorry last nitpick, Seeker of lost wizard traditions also seems to be missing

You can blame me for Jester :/ I'll try and get to it soon

The fiendish brute appears all in bold and title sized font on my computer. Which is thematic but hard to read.

Fixed.

As to BBR, Seeker, and Elothar. From what I understand, Seeker was just a joke, and has abilities that wouldn't really work out in play, while Elothar was just an example. I'll add them in later, though, if people really want me to. I wasn't sure about the Bone Blade Reaper - while I saw the new one, I wanted to bring up the question on if it would be better to somehow give BBR an AC progression that stacks with monk. I just forgot to.

I blame my editor. Fixed.

On the main page, you have "Assault" spelled wrong on "Uttercold Assault Necromancer".

But Elothar is more than just an example, it's also a perfectly fine class. Not including it is a silly idea, since people actually take it in games without being excessively crazy.

The E and I are transposed in the fiendish feats and spheres hyperlinks under Other Character Choices.

I support leaving out the 1st ed Wizard and Elothar PrCs, and note that Ninja of Gax is also a joke and should probably be removed.

Seriously, those aren't real PrCs, those are Frank and K rubbing our noses in the fact that they remember all the crazy-ass 1st edition rules still. (Or in the case of Elothar, their example of the DM favoritism normally necessary to drag a fighter up to par with a caster in a standard game).

As long as they are balanced, rules wise, what's wrong with posting them.

Well, if you think that they're jokes that some of us (like me) won't get, then...

...Maybe write up a disclaimer explaining that to them?

Annotated Unabridged Frank & K SRD?

If you’re taking out "joke" classes might as well get rid of Master of Snake Mountain... but why make everyone so sad? Another two classes that seemed to have slipped under the radar are the Progenitor of the Gith and the Monitor.

What's the problem with inside-joke/legacy based classes? Half the stuff in DnD could probably fall in that category.

I thought that Elothar, Warrior of Bladereach was a perfectly reasonable example of the kind of thing that might happen in a 'real' campaign - I wouldn't describe giving level-appropriate powers out to balance weak classes as 'favouritism' - such a thing should be one of the DM's jobs, no?

Also, agreed about the number of joke/legacy PrCs out there...

Aren't balanced examples of 'joke' classes just good ...example of iconic adaption?

Ok, ok. After thinking it over, I'll add Elothar and Seeker. While I knew that the Ninja of Gax was largely I joke, I thought Seeker wasn't meant to be played due to a comment K made, about it's ability to aim fireballs towards the ground to get better area.

In any case, I'll be adding those, as well as Gith and Monitar. Those two I missed because I didn't double-check the Dungeonomicon well enough.

I meant to have the spell houserules up already, but I didn't have to chance to, as I've been busy. I'll get them up soon. The equipment sections, from all books, are going to wait until the Book of Gears is out so I can adjust and format accordingly.

Seems like the d20ragon domain expired.

I'd be quite happy to put it up somewhere else if the original creator sends me his pages; otherwise, I'll see if I can make a new one after November is over.
