While he invited us to come over here, I think most of us know better. You're obviously welcome there if you're not trolling, but when your purpose is to do exactly that, its not exactly helpful and it just makes the lot of you look like a bunch of morons. Not that some of your own posters seem to have a high opinion of you (I see that Psychic Robot posted complaining about that very same thing), but you know.

But when he starts sending out malicious links, I kind of draw the line. If you know who he is, please tell him to stop acting like he is twelve. I know it probably won't help, but you know, always best to ask first, right?

In the future, if you suspect someone from the the Den has invaded another forum, a direct thread to their forum name ("Smitezilla, stop trolling WotC forums" for example) would probably be the optimal approach.

I read more of that thread after I posted this one and saw that a lot of people were basically calling him out on being a hypocrite. Hardly surprising, given his history of behavior on the WotC forums.

Its not your fault. I was just hoping, you know, that you WOULD know from a history of similar behavior. Its very difficult for me to keep track of who is who on the WotC boards as far as trolls go because they tend to keep a stable of alts.

Where "this post" was actually a link to a malicious website. It wasn't actually a virus (as I initially thought it was); having investigated the page more closely this morning, it appears to simply be something which can crash your computer, but it won't actually cause you any -lasting- harm. I'm on Chrome, and on a pretty low-end PC, so instead of actually seeing the website (in which case, I probably would not have even bothered coming here) it instead popped up about thirty "Do you want to run this process?" windows. Had I realized that the worst it would do is crash your computer (I just shut down in response to seeing that much crap pop up, as it seemed to be coming up faster than I could shut it down), I wouldn't have bothered you guys with it, and for that I apologize.

I clicked on the link because, while the guy was complaining, he seemed polite enough in the post. Obviously foolish of me to do, but I try to at least be reasonable. I'm sure you guys feel I often fail (well, I do! But you know), but if someone is being polite in response to something where he felt that I was being an ass to him, I'll at least try to write a polite response.

And I recently updated MC Hammer, I need to bump the thread with the post-stuff build, though it is still not ideal and I'm still playing around with the idea of using... well, beside the point.

And the playtest is actually finished but I never ended up posting the whole thing because it became outdated so quickly. Maybe I'll dig it out after my final, write up a nicer write-up, and post it, but I know if I do it today I'll end up not studying for my final tommorrow

Well, yeah. A while back, Iron Mongler on the Paizo boards apparently talked someone into/asked/mentioned he's like us to be trolled. Whatever. Point is, for a while we had to deal with a guy named Frantic, who stirred up a lot of shit and then did a campaign to get himself banned by putting up some loli dismemberment porn. In multiple threads.

Frantic was banned, and then Iron Mongler sent a message saying something along the lines of 'Uh, my bad, it might have gone too far, but it was all in good fun, no hard feelings, right?'

So if you want to ask someone about it, head on over to the Paizo boards and look up Iron Mongler.

Psychic Robot and Roy have been known to go a-trolling on other forums (much to the chagrin of some folks here), but they've never gone so far as to post links that are either outright offensive or malicious. If I was a betting man, I'd put my money on Frantic/Iron Mongler. It's not much of a stretch to go from posting Guro pictures to linking to malicious websites.

Now the most offensive thing about Smitezilla was his incredibly stupid name. He seemed polite, non confrontational and I think managed to use the word fail ONCE and in arguably the least annoying use I've seen it put to in a while. Meanwhile he was confronted with opponents that ranged from utter puerile drivel and stupidity to outright blatant offensive attacks.
