Stores to tell - Ink to paper.

I'm interested in starting a writing exercise.
It's an old idea. The chain story. These days we do it online for the most part. But I want to try to get a story going on paper. The idea is we take a theme and a particular story-type and we decide a writing order.
Each person mails his/her part and parts before to the next one on the list. This sort of chain story is intriguing in that you only know what has been written before and what you write.
If it is too much to do as letters, I would still be interested to do it on the net. I just want to get a flow of letters and communication going that isn't based on the internet alone. While this might make some uncomfortable, we used to do this before the internet. It's just an experiment to see if we can actually still keep the anonymity of the internet but slow it down a bit.
