There's some vanity presses that will print what you want if you pay them a fee.

Apart from that, not a clue.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

print-on-demand and e-books/PDF are the most popular.

lulu.com does both, as well as other places will sell PDFs. not sure what google charges, but there are purchasable from the expresso book machine as print-on-demand in person rather than mail order.
Play the game, not the rules.

Kindle direct publishing seems to be a big new thing.

LuLu.Com - Mostly for NaNo and Script Frenzy stuff.

Here is my storefront if you want to buy a novel or play. They are nanowrimo quality so don't expect works of greatness.

Necropolis was my first successful NaNo - erotic fantasy in the fantasy genre - it's crap but it has one of my best character's in it - Dr Ruth as a female hobbit druid.

Hotel Califorina is my most recent - a vampire variation that involves werewolves and the plane of shadow. Rules are strictly homemade and a significant variation from oWoD.

I'm currently working on "The Iconics" a radio play based on first edition. It should be up there sometime in mid May.

Low-priced ebooks are definitely the way to go : http://news.slashdot.org/story/11/03/09 ... nt-E-Books

Basically you have a very low treshold for rentability and you price your stuff at a rate that encourages spontaneous purchases.

It's a much more promising enterprise than hoping enough people are willing to shell out $5-10 for your dead trees to make it worth your time.

EDIT : obviously even mainstream editors would benefit from this business model.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no one - for I am the meanest motherfucker in the valley.

That's a great idea. I personally approve of 99 cent ebooks. I figure that is a fair price for what is on offer. I have no idea how to format illustrated or unillustrated works for the kindle or nook.

If you want free tools you can use Latex, Docbook , OpenOffice or Sigil to create epub files ... the last one being purpose designed for this task.
