Am I the only one who hates RPGNet's mod team?

They seem to be powercrazed jackasses who are beyond question.

I'm pretty sure this was common knowledge for many years.
Also, calling people racists (because they are) is worse than being a racist there. The big problem is "rocking the boat" by calling people out for their terrible beliefs and opinions. So basically, it is completely devoid of any value and you can get better discussions by talking to your dog and then inventing his answers based on the way he tilts his head or whatever.

Nope, you are not alone.

Everyone hates them. Hell, I think I've been banned three or four times now. They're some of the least objective mods outside of game company forums.

The only non-horrible mods I've seen are ours. (I'd say Meg of BG is non-horrible, but that'd get me called stupid.)

RPG.net mods are legendary in their shittiness. Lots of mods, hell almost all mods are power mad fuckwits. It's what draws most people to modding in the first place. But even within that context, RPG.net mods are some of the shittiest around.

And most of their posters are pretty close too . .
Too much whining about ooh not politically correct boohoo!

I hate them and I've never posted there. All I've seen is the Skill Challenge thread where they claimed they were beyond reproach and would attack any outsiders while ignoring similar infractions from the in-group.

She's taken a very back-seat approach now that she has a second kid. I hear form her less than once a month.

If anyone has any complaints about the DNDOG Mod team, I can pass them along fairly, since I just stepped down.

Never heard of DNDOG, is that forum any good? (assuming it is a forum)

No. You are the only one who has ever had an issue with the RPGnet modding team.
More seriously, there is a reason I only stuck around for, like, a week, even though I still lurk and occasionally post in GiantITP.

I like it, but I'm obviously biased. It's just a play by post forums. A lot more...civilly...oriented than The Den here.

The Den is many things. Civil is not one of them

But really, that's why I like The Den, people will happily tell you that you're a raving idiot with questionable parentage.

Their posts are so high-handed and arrogant, it's sickening. They talk as if there is no greater penalty than not posting on RPGnet. Every time I see them start up with imperious demands that posters leave the thread, or ominous warnings that an official sanction will be added to their profile, it makes me want to create three dozen sock puppets and just keep posting -- and I don't post there to begin with!

Remember: someone that arrogant is likely to see little value in using a secure password, for those lowly worms surely have no chance of guessing it.

Meh, not much of a grudge other than them being like an old-fashioned mother who is more interested in her quarreling children not making waves than in solving the ACTUAL issues between them.
...or about them giving mod status to CCP employees who in turn abuse their powers when they perceive a post as defamatory of CCP's products.
...or how they decided to bend over during the straw feminist* hysteria, siding with them on all their rantings regardless of how irrational.
* Straw Feminist, as opposed to ACTUAL feminists. I have feminist friends and they're NOTHING like them.

i actually managed to get banned for one week on the classic battletech boards just now . .
because i called the Stalker the "Dildo of Doom". And they want to be a family friendly board . .

Yeah, the Classic Battletech boards have a pretty shitty mod team. The sad thing is that I don't think there's a reasonable alternative- /tg/ has an occasional battletech threads, but I think that's about it, as far as I know.

especially seeing how they let shit like the Dildo of Doom fly several times before . .

Spacebattles has a number of Battletech players. Unfortunately, the Battletech material tends to be sequestered to one huge thread in the general gaming pool, due to the way the boards are organized (there's one board for all types of gaming discussion, so it's easier just to have a single BT thread). There are also a few Battletech fanfics in the creative writing coard, and the AEWAB round-robin, that's kind of lost steam, as well as some RPs in BROB.
