Terrible, terrible ideas

So, earlier I got the idea to write a series of short stories framed as the adventures of a group of characters in a completely-by-the-book FATAL game. I don't know why my morbid curiosity for that game won't die, but as you're supposed to randomly determine everything about a character, it could prove entertaining, in roughly the same way The Aristocrats or a train wreck is "entertaining." I would randomly determine the characters, and then use them as standard story characters, but refer to the system as appropriate, potentially leading to situations such as the /tg/ screen grab in another thread about the party of D&D monks slowly bleeding out after getting into a fight less than minute into the game.

Another possibility would be a Ponies/FATAL crossover, where the innocent ponies must explore the cruel anddepraved world of FATAL.

Is anyone curious, or would such a project be so much jacking off?

Make it a Touhou/MLP crossover with FATAL

I would, but my only real experience with Touhou was Koumei's IRC D&D game set in that 'verse.

Ok, I just hit the first wall withthis project. The first character being rolled up was randomly determined to be -.5 years old. Even assuming an (unstated) minimum age of ... anything, apparently this infant has formulated opinions on the other races.

I think I'm going to reroll that age, even though it isn't exactly accurately representing the shitstorm, I mean system.

I can't wait until the first magic pony gets a spell mishap.

Super-intelligent telepathic fetuses happen sometimes in fiction. Perhaps it is mind-controlling its mom in order to enact its insane world domination scene from the womb.

Wasn't there something like that in one of the later Twilight books?

Yeah, their half-vampire spawn is telepathic and ages at an accelerated rate.

I would like to restate, though, that the delivery involves Edward the Sparkly giving a c-section.

With his teeth.

If you're going to do this, do it right. Roll with that -0.5 age and do what hyzmrca suggested.

If you're going to make FATAL characters for the purposes of mirth, it is imperative that you use the re-roll option as often as possible.

FATAL allows you to re-roll your characters stats, however each time you do so you have to roll on the Mental Disorders chart as a 'balancing factor'. Only, being FATAL the disorders you roll are... well, they are certainly a disadvantage in play I guess.

Well, at the moment he's a cook with a practically non-existent bodily attractiveness, but an amazing voice, genius ability in math, and good enunciation. Also his agility is nearly non-existent, and his physical fitness kind of sucks, but damn if he ain't healthy.

So, sure, I'll reroll some of the lower abilities, assuming that doesn't make me then reroll all 25.
