As I understand it, there's a big difference between "expended" and "disarmed" in this system. You can still wear Expended plate armour or whatever. It isn't providing you any real protection (no static defence bonus) but you're still covered in metal so its keywords still apply....

Roll one die and use a pre-compiled lookup table approximating the results of actually rolling for every elf? I don't know if it counts as convenient, but it would be possible to make a series of tables for each (Attack Bonus - Defence Bonus) consisting of Roll x Number of Creatures Struck with Fail...

He still works pretty well on CC-heavy teams. Anyone with a good slow is enough for him to land his stun in late-game teamfights, or at least force the enemy to use an actual escape to get out of the way. I've been playing Ashe ADC while my friend takes Veigar mid, and by midgame just about anyone i...

Ugh, no more 1:30AM games for me. I just had one of the worst Jarvan's I'd ever seen. He managed to get himself executed twice in the first ten minutes despite a good leash, died twice as much as the (three tied for) next highest on the team, barely had more assists than our support, and only got a ...

I like new Tristana's lines. She feels more like a member of an elite military force who just happens to like explosions than her original crazed bomber persona. The new E feels like it secures kills better. I don't know if it actually does or not, but watching a charged bomb absolutely shred the en...

Shiki's great. The UVic anime club watched it a few years ago, and I really enjoyed it. I actually liked both opening songs, but I can't even remember the ending ones. Your assessment of the story is pretty much spot-on.

Lime and Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken 1 pound bone-in chicken thighs (skinless, if possible) 2 limes 2 cloves garlic 1/2 tsp thyme 1/4 tsp ground black pepper 2 tpsp butter 1 1/2 cups chicken stock (at least enough to cover chicken) Optional: 1 cup instant rice T...

Cool, thanks for the info. I think I can probably get away with Portal at my current low ELO where there's often two big teamfights where everyone dies while it's on CD without either side being able to finish, but I can see why GA is useful against strong divers. I'm probably underestimating its us...

So what does everyone think about building Zz'Rot Portal as a defensive item on ADCs? The voidlings aren't as strong as they'd be if you bought it on a tank, but it provides the same defensive stats as a GA (plus regen), has a less obnoxious build path through Raptor Cloak, and its active has some c...

I'm on the west coast and have been experiencing steadily worse lag spikes since at least patch 4.20 (and probably before). I don't know about the last few days because I've moved and won't have Internet until tomorrow.

I've been playing some Talisman Digital Edition. It's a decent way to kill time, but the AI is quirky and playing a few times made me realize how easy it is to snowball off of some early good look. They definitely need a way to cancel queued spells though: I accidentally missed queuing an Immobilize...

Either way it works like a free item creation feat for whatever your holy symbol happens to be, and if you've got a little time and money to burn you can swap out your bonded holy symbol for a different one that falls under another item type without having to take another feat.

It's also against most banks' terms of service for their online banking. There's pretty much always a "never give out your password" clause so they can say it's your fault if your ex logs on to your account and steals all your money. It's the same as the "never use an easily-guessed P...

Double-post for great justice! I finally got a chance to try Hexakill: Twisted Treeline. My first game ended quickly because the enemy Janna lagged enough it was essentially 6v5. The second game was a lot of fun. I played Trynamere and half-way carried the team after our Ashe fed Kassadin. Once I hi...

I'm not even going to be in a league for this season because I still need to practice. I had thought the plan was locational damage for basic humans (including cultists), but humans can only take a small amount damage to each location before it overflows to the torso or head. Hit points sort-of arise from hit locations that don't do anything or "extra space" at the low end o...

Ok, that makes sense. I know how frustrating fighting people that consistently out-trade or dodge you can be. I only really saw him in teamfights and ganks, so I didn't know how his laning was. In that case he might fare better as a jungler because creeps don't dodge.
