On another note, Greater Magic fang and Greater Magic weapon don't bypass DR like magic weapons do (based on +X enhancement). The Amulet of Mighty Fist is based on GMF: so posters are realizing this means AoMF shouldn't bypass DR. Another nerf to Monks. How did Pathinder miss this logical conclusion...

He's probably confusing Arcane Trickster with Spellwarp Sniper No I'm not. Here: Arcane Trickster[/url]]The Surprise Spells class feature allows the Arcane Trickster to add his sneak attack dice to spells that deal damage that target flat-footed foes. This damage is only applied once per spell. In ...

Even the My Little Pony Light Show probably doesn't look stupid by the lights of the people who live in that world. The original My Little Pony was an awesome show. All the male ponies have around the world races and when they arrive in Ponyville they have orgies (wiith the females of course) befor...

One question I certainly have is whether they 'fixed' that firearm feature, where because it was a touch attack it got to ignore DR. I believe in either case, they should likely make a viable weapon for rogues to make up for the loss of their flasks. Actually, it isn't a touch Attack, it hits Touch...

The Summoner is fucking awesomesauce and you should play that shit like yesterday. On that they get SM 4 as a 3rd level spell, as well as Haste/slow as 2nd. Worship Asmodeus and you can summon 1d4+1 Hell hounds*. Not to mention they spell-like summoning ability. They get a magical ball of force red...

I'm noting the wizard has far more spells on it's spell list. I'm also trying to figure out how a warlock necromancer would work - does it get spells? I think you could be ok with the mass charm and the etherealness. You'll be spamming eldritch blast a lot though, hope you like pewpew. Nope, it get...

Yeah, and average Fire giant has 10K gear. So the 31 CMD becomes higher for cheap. Ring of Pro +1, Glove of Dex, Belt of Str +2 work. That alone made him: CMD 34. PF Fighter's chance lowered by 15%. So he has 80% chance. It would be cheaper to do potions, but we can't assume it will have the time. C...

I assumed that Pathfinder had a beta tester group (people who actually playtested it) outside of its "open playtest" advertisement scam. You know, to make sure the game actually worked... instead just felt right.... Apparently according to Lisa (one of the designers) they never did any rea...

Some PF people are arguing whether it is fair to charge 10% for crafting magic items (basically you save party members 40% of market price, you give them it for 60% of cost and get 10% of that for your time). Some of them are saying it is theft to charge them any amount. Apparently, you need to be t...

Similarly, the player does all of the calculations on his side of the screen for the threshold. E.g. "I'm a 1st level fighter using a regular weapon (not a whip) and I don't have any helpful feats, so the threshold is 5 + 2 = 7." The fighter cannot declare any threshold on the part of the...

There's generally no C-MD in video games. Whuh? We must be playing different video games. I can't think of a single video game that (a) has magic, and (b) is just as easy to win if you avoid magic altogether. Usually it's ten times harder. I can think of two: 1) Arcanum (focus on Technology, at sta...

Paizo posted the backstory of their Witch iconic. She was kidnapped and raised by hags, and escaped with help from her familiar and some kind of nature magic that killed off the hags when they chased her. I found it pretty garbage. While their initial inspiration for witchs already provide a good b...

arguing custom magical items is fucking stupid, please stop it at once. I don't think anyone has mentioned custom items besides RadiantPhoenix. And I'm not sure if 4K would be close even if you followed the guidelines in 3.5 or PF. Because it would be x4 due to rd/level, Continuous: 2000 x 1 x1 = 2...

It's incredibly stupid for a wizard to waste precious gold buffing his AC. Just cast your standard miss chance spells and be done with that shit. Put up Blur or Displacement and then mirror image, spend your gold on shit that matters like metamagic rods, +stat items and scrolls to actually be an ef...

Actually the NA of the spell is base NA, the amulet is enhancement bonus. Base + enhancement = current NA. That is the rule. Any Wizard worth his saly crafts his stuff in PF. That makes the cost 1/2 (except for the rings as they are uncraftable yet). In 3.5, you got an Exp penalty but lower level ga...

Shadow, PF mirror image pops if people miss you by 5 or less. That means every attack because you're a fucking wizard and your AC is somewhere in the teens if you bothered casting mage armor. Wait, did PF nerf Wizards that badly? By level 8, I have 24-28 AC as a Wizard in 3.5. Are you that bad at b...

Let's not forget that yes, you only get one mutagen a day, Why are you repeating that phrase like it is the truth: Did you catch SKR disease? No, it isn't. The only limitation: "It takes 1 hour to brew a dose of mutagen, and once brewed, it remains potent until used. An alchemist can only main...

As someone that doesn't know PF much to begin with, what all really changed to cause the large split I've seen between PF fans and other 3.X fans that I see on most boards? Why not a feat that defender type get for free? I mean, after the newbies stop being new they may want AoOs to play with.

What fans care about doesn't matter . The Condition Track, because it is divorced from the other mechanic that represents the same thing, it is a chore to book keep (since I have to mark off HP and check for track drop every time I take damage), and is a balance issue: setting your weapon to stun i...

I'll note that made Jedi the best healers with Vital Vitality (that force heal one that makes you take 1/2).

I never got the notion about Jedi. anyone can be a "jedi" just take Force powers and stuff.

Jedi class only gives a Lightsaber proficiency. It isn't required to be a "Jedi" in theme or useage.

But yeah that Prc was stupid.

Book was mysterious/psuedo-religious (basically Cleric of party).
