Re: Sig/Avatar Checks
While I'm at it, I'll test my new sig and avatar, to see if it worked. [br][br]Dammit, my sig isn't working, must be too big an image. Let me fix it.[br][br]Dangit, won't let me resize it. I'll fool with it later. [br][br]Dangit, jnow it's working, but it's gigantic! Gotta still mess with it, as thi...

Re: Design Intent: Gaining Abilities.
Quick question for Frank:[br][br]I was wondering why it isn't okay for a class to continue to improve abilities instead of offer new ones, as I seem to recall that in the past, you have railed against that.[br][br]For example, a paladin's smite evil and lay on hands improves, as does it's bonded mou...

Okay, gotcha.
Female nipples = good.
Men kissing = bad.
How about women kissing?
(Note: I am being facetious here, don't take this too seriously.)

Re: Campaign Milestones!
I've only had one death in my game, but it was a fluke, an ogre fighter/devoted defender got a lucky crit with an oversized mercurial greatsword, took the monk down to exactly -10 in one hit, all the way from full HP.

Good luck with finals, people.[br][br]I don't have any finals right now, had to drop out of college this semester to fuel my addiction. (It's called Eating. If I don't do it at least once a day, I start to go into withdrawal. :uptosomething: )[br][br]But I got a loansky to go this semester, so Da Co...

While in the process of inviting a new player, I realized that this particular campaign has gone on for over three years. Not too bad, I say.

My god.[br][br]You hear that sound? that's my former respect for Andy Collins plummeting after reading how insanely easy it is to do something that rediculous. None of that SHOULD work, but it does, by the RAW.[br][br]I used to think the guy had some good ideas, but that's only because they were min...

Re: To be an Arcane Archer or not to be, that is the questio
There's a way to do it.[br][br]Hire a lot of commoners. Order them to hold their action. Oreder them that when you are handed to them, to walk 30' to the next guy and hand you to the next guy.[br][br]You can go anywhere in the world in 6 seconds. (One round.)[br][br]With some math, determine how man...

Re: Complete Warrior
I mostly agree with Frank myself, except i have the opposite opinion on the Hexblade. Hexblade spells may be cast in light armor with no ASF anyway, and since most people take a chain shirt for armor anyway, I don't see the problem with ASF at all. [br][br]The Samurai and the Duelist are just crap. ...

Actually, I know of quite a few groups that go around wihtout benefitting from Prayer. Not every group is fighter/rogue/cleric/wizard.

Re: For those just joining us...
There's the rub, though; Replace it with what? How do you balance that with something else? That class level x 100 plat is just all kinds of wrong, even though I happen to think this class is a really nice class otherwise.[br][br](I am aware of the arguments against VoB, and I don't agree with them ...

I had an argument here, but I realized it would be more or less splitting hairs about the wording on the death attack ability. I don't like arguing semantics, so I will pull out of this argument.

Re: Bahamut's Buddies...Platinum Knight vs Vassal of Bahamut
Maj, nice summary, but you made a mistake on the plat.[br][br]It's not 100 plat x class level, it's 100 plat x CHARACTER level. There's a difference. [br][br]And you're forgetting one thing about the Vassal: The armor is +8 armor bonus, but is considered light. Means something for ranger vassals, or...

Re: Saving our party from inadequacy...
The thing is, Assassin is a decent class . . . . when used by the DM, who has no problem setting up favorable situations. (Such as setting up with improved invis, fox's cunning, etc, as well as the 3 round studying).
However, I have found that players rarely have that luxury.

Although I am perhpas more forgiving on WotC mistakes, and realize that they perhaps don't analyze things to the point that we do (Which is perhaps a very bad thing), I gotta say that I just shake my head in disgust every time I think about that oversight.[br][br]Free karma beads.
