How am I going to do this?
Okay, I haven't been around for a long time now despite the fact that this is one of the very few forums where I find the people equally amusing AND smart, but I have returned (not that anyone gives a shit) with a question to ask!! I have an on-going D&D game which ended up being Pathfinder sinc...

Do remember that it's a DM's job to distribute gear, not the player's. Some DMs will want to give specific stuff to specific characters (no sane man would give a Magical Staff to the party's Fighter, for example) while others just sit back, throw random stuff and look on as the players fight over wh...

Now the only challenge for you is to convince Koumei and Frank into this. And don't underestimate the power of lurkers. I might have been lurking here for quite a while, but that doesn't mean that I COULD maybe write up something good given time and motivation (problem is that I usually have neither...

Lastly, wouldn't showing them Tome be as easy as Linking them to the PDF? Can't see how that'd be time consuming after all... Actually, I have tried to introduce the Tome of Battle (And the Tomes...) to our games on numerous occasions, but every time I have tried something else came up and then I h...

There's some valid points right there, and I got to the weirdest conclusion ever with a pal. He reasoned that a character shouldn't get the full advantages of Large size without actually BEING Large, and suggested reducing the +4 bonuses to Grapple and Trip (and the other checks) to +2, though to me...

Powerful Build?
Just the other day I was discussing with my pals about various racials and the so-called balance of 3.5 (they're only familiar with 3.5 and Pathfail, because I haven't gotten the time to introduce the Tome series to them yet) and while discussing a few races (my homebrew included), the players voice...

...that's...a tough one. The only one that comes to mind is superior strength in comparison to the (usually) squishy/squeamish Wizards and/or Rogues of the party. Basically, Intimidate checks and physical contests that are determined by Strength-based skills checks. Not much else that comes to mind.

Just out of curiosity, Shaz...what kind of argument are youu expecting here then? Fighters, in terms of RP, are usually just mercenaries or thugs. If you wanted to play a Knight in Shining Armor, the DM would probably tell you to pick a Paladin instead. Not because of combat abilities, but because o...

1. Character Development potential (Negates Sueism) 2. Both goods and bads (Makes for an actual character, not a cardboard cut-out of one) 3. Consistency (Mentioned earlier by others) 4. Staying in-character That's about all I can think of right now without elaborating. Also, what is good role-play ...

Oh...uuuh, what do you suggest as replacements for them Underground weapons? My only thought WHY they wield those is cultural...as in, their god's favored weapon is the Great Axe. And...yeah, I did say the racial scores are subject to change, and being Large is usually a bad point for Dexterity, rig...

I thought only PC's went to -10, and everyone else died at 0. Then why do the Construct and Undead types have a special rule under the immunity to massive damage clause that state they're immediately destroyed at 0 hp? Why do boars have the Ferocity special ability? Is that 3/3.5 or 2? I could be m...
