Galaxy truckers is a great game - and that designer does really good work. I really like Space Alert as well if you like coop games. Similar mechanics (you program orders while under time pressure with partial information), then you have a resolution phase where you see how badly the plan failed. It...

Name them. I'll bet you I can point to a poster who enjoys whatever game you point at. 4e D&D (Yes, I know its not a real RPG, Skill-Challenges never worked, It's "Kill Orcs" for 30 levels, Padded Sumo, and Item Wishlists are required BS. If can past that and the railroad mentality, I...

I think you need to play some of the fun modern micro rpgs (lasers and feelings for example) - I don't think it actually matters which one(s), but you should give them a whirl. They teach you something for sure.

Have tried precisely this (knocking out tier 1/2 characters), assuming you make the obvious 'you need to be this tall to ride' adjustments it works fine, and remember that the fighter and barbarian still aren't viable by themselves and need huge buffs.

In a puzzling move Amazon has started accepting returns for a full cash refund for opened box copies of ME3.

Surely Jeff Bezos hasn't developed a sudden loathing for money. The only explanation is that he really likes the game or something. A giant fuck you to EA right there though.

The last 15 minutes of ME3 are an irremediable pile of shit that completely wreck the game. If you're going to play it, get to the part with the beam of light, turn your console off, and insert your own ending The ends are a direct cut paste from Deus Ex 1 (?!?!) that don't make any sense, and the e...

The "left wing" party in Australia is run by a bunch of faceless, unelected men who decide everything about the party and are complete morons. This is stupid. The guys have names aka Mark Arbib, and he was elected a senator by the fine people of NSW. You then specifically reference mark A...

aWoD Rules questions

Does all uses of disciplines cost powerpoints? I ask because some powers mention cost of a PP or 5 PP or whatevr and others just say a simple action e.g. (emphasis mine) Death Knell The character shuts off access to The Gloom. All creatures with a Potency of zero and an Orphic power source (such as ...

Having tried it in action replacing monster feats with pathfinder tome ones is ass. The biggest issue with the tomes is making monsters with class levels is very, very tedious and slow. So don't do it if you can avoid it.

edit: Whoops.

A shirt and tie works fine for me (I'd really love to get rid of the tie), though I wonder why you'd wear a suit on a plane in the first place. The plane IS where you're complaining about all this laptop carrying, right? Can't you just change when you get off? Change where? The taxi? Is that really...

If you brown paper bag your lunch, I can confidently guess you're not travelling much because otherwise you'd expense it. You may live in an alternate dimension where you don't have to pay for things, but is it that weird that some people who travel a lot may not have other people paying for litera...

Doesn't the backpack wreck your suit jacket? Or do you carry your jacket in your hand until you get to the client then carry the backpack in your hand while wearing the suit? My favorite part is people complaining about the 10 pound laptop, when the 6 pound laptop was still a better deal than the airbook.
