A word of warning: even if your settlement is completely covered in turrets, walled in with three layers of concrete, trenches, moats and barbed wire...if you don't show up to a settlement attack, it's up to RNG whether your settlers win or lose, and you CAN'T INFLUENCE THAT RNG. It's not uncommon f...

If you want to have your settlements be serious money generators, you NEED Uncapped Settlement Surplus: https://rd.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12430 Fast Travel is...contentious. I like having it for utility - considering the way the game will spawn new enemies behind you, just going back to town is...

Absolute basic mods to improve FO4: Full Dialogue Interface: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1235/ This is the thing Kaelik is talking about Sim Settlements: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21872 This mod lets you give your settlers vague orders and have THEM build the settlement. Yeah, FO4 requires a good bit of beef in the video department to play at all. Whatever its other flaws (and there are MANY) the game is a significant graphical step up from Skyrim, with system requirements to match. Five year old laptop really isn't gonna cut it, sorry to say. May I recommend a step...

There any fun fan made mods for baldur's gate II? The answer to this depends entirely on how much change you're looking for. At the low end, Baldur's Gate Trilogy (BGT) combines BG1, TotSC, BG2, and ToB (yes, that's four things, and only two actual games, I didn't name it, don't ask me) into one ga...

Prak: Look into Car Wars and GURPS Autoduel. Car Wars has spectacularly good driving rules (caveat: it can play pretty slow). Also, the setting is heavy on that kind of 'truckers as a union' thing.

Okay, European Denners: What in the actual *fuck* is going on in Poland? It sounds like some serious shit is going down in a hurry, and the EU is getting mighty upset about it.

That gif is from A:CM, yes. It also has some horrible dithering and compression. No, the game doesn't look *that* bad, but it's still not nearly as pretty as we were lead to believe it would be.

Sea Lanterns and Slime Blocks are 1.8 objects, although they got backported to 1.7 by a couple of mods. Carpet has been around for a long time. Twilight Forest, unfortunately, hasn't been updated since 1.7.10, so I'm guessing that was the version you were playing on.

One of the convenient things about Minecraft is that you can pick the patch you want to play on. It's trivial to play with old mods.

It's actually pretty simple now, as I understand it. Download the Curse Launcher, link it to your MC account, and use that to download the mod. Curse Launcher should auto install Forge and get mods working. This is my understanding of how it works now; I haven't actually dealt with mod installation ...

There are a variety of computer versions of BT that speed things up dramatically. But for an actual tabletop experience? Nope, that just takes forever.

I love the basic idea of Eclipse Phase, but the rules are a garbage fire. Improving the rules and reformating the material will go a long way to making me like the game as a whole (I'm not holding my breath; they're unlikely to fix some of the setting's dramatic stupidity vis a vis timelines and dem...

Numenera is weird very much for the sake of weird. Some of that weird is interesting, much of it is just there, and some of it just plain irritatingly pointless.

Backed it on KS. Played for four hours today. Got some very positive feelings vis a vis dialogue, descriptions, lore entries. In general, I like the skill system, though the game makes save-scumming ludicrously effective and quite easy. Combat is what worries me. I only have had one real combat so f...

(disclaimer: I am *not* a doctor, nor do I play one on TV) If compressing the problem area hurts, but you can bend the other way, that kinda sounds like a herniated disc. If a disc has herniated, or otherwise been damaged, I understand that any pressure on it hurts like the ending of worlds. I (agai...

So, basically, shonen-style monologues before the beatdown commences (but in a variety of guises and as discreet, specific actions)? I like it. Feels kinda genre appropriate, especially considering the general target audience these days.

Those focus values also sound remarkably like the 'Destiny' values on the Decipher-made Star Wars CCG.

Having received this for free, and read through the whole thing with a kind of horrified fascination: brace yourself. This thing is Special. Couple of neat cyberpunk sorts of setting ideas, LOADS of terrible, generally offensive setting ideas. Minimal balance. Oh, and CONSTANT reference to mechanics...
