Re: Spells that fvcking kill people.
The only thing that Archivists have over Wizards is that they get a better HD and some special abilities, and the Archivist gets 5 spell slots without giving up 2 schools. However, the Archivist can only learn Divine spells (and Arcane ones that are also Divine), while the Wizard can learn any spell...

Re: Questions about base classes
Armors give it at 1, 5, 10, 15, while the Skill feats give out their stuff at the same point where you could get another attack if you had full BAB (1, 6, 11, 16), to keep them in line with the Combat feats.

Re: Good tactics and spells for fighting dragons?
Have you seen what they post on WotC? Dragons apparantly have lairs ringed in magical traps, wards, and alarms even though they cast as Sorcerers with limited spells known, AND that they cast as such low level Sorcerers that no one even cares. But of course, any dragon that has Arcane Lock instead o...

Re: What is the statistical variance of a +1 on opposed roll
Assuming that you and your opponent both start at +0, and you get +1 while your opponent remains at +0. I know that against a static DC the +1 is 5%, but I believe that on an opposed roll it increases the likelihood of rolling higher than your opponent by more than 5%.

What is the statistical variance of a +1 on opposed rolls?
I'm really bad at statistics, and as such, for the life of me, I can't figure out how, say, a +1 bonus on an opposed d20 roll (like Trip) changes your chance of success. I know it's more than 5%, but I can't figure if it's 10% or 7.5% or whatever. Could someone help me with this?

Re: Spells that fvcking kill people.
You forgot Pyrotechnics, which can make large numbers of people blind as long as there's a fire. It usually has to be used in a first-strike situation, since your friends need cover from it, but it has Long range and so that's really easy to do. It's also great for infiltrating buildings or other pl...

The last part is definitely a problem. How about you let them get their full Str bonus to damage for natural attacks whenever they would normally get only .5xStr?

That's a pretty hefty drawback there. If you're female (which you're not, since girls=/=internet), then I'd definitely say no; if male, probably no.[br][br]I mean sure, you get to be like the best Rogue ever, but you have to have some standards.[br][br]And this is from a guy with a cat as an avatar.

I think that the CNN special on right now about insurance companies has some relavance to this topic. Re: In playing a 'Supplemented' D&D game: Old Feats?
How would the feats from, say, the Tome of Fiends or Necromancy stack up agianst the Races of War feats? The abilities they hand out are generally worthwhile, but with the paradigm shifted to scaling feats, what should we do with them? Perhaps break the feats that have a level requirement (like Wing...

Re: Good spells with duration of hours?
The staff is because a single scroll of GCF is 3,000, and a staff with one charge is 900. If you plan to do this a lot, a staff is totally cheaper. If you'd rather not use the alternating CF/GCF thing, though, you won't need this.[br][br]Karma beads are actually free, as long as you get only a Karma...

So far as I'm aware, the theories of anarchy that aren't shit are based on a society governed by the willing cooperation of everyone. Anarchy in this sense is being used literally, i.e., a society without rulers. The people in charge of anything are everyone who cares to contribute to it; a business...

Re: Good spells with duration of hours?
You could always alternate Consumptive Field and Greater Consumptive Field, which, since they're different spells with untyped bonuses, stack, and since each puts your caster level at a new level, stack with eachother no matter how many times you use them. A staff with 50 charges of Greater Consumpt...

Communism, so far as I know, calls for eventual dissolution of the state, so that seems accurate.
