Back on the issue at hand, I can with honest experience tell you how much I hate random loot. I play DDO and every single treasure chest has random loot. Sometimes it's guarded by enemies, where it makes no sense for them not to be using the stuff. And almost everything you find is going to be vendo...

i will place you into the unfortunate category of people how came to D&D from video games and were spoiled on them and don;t understand TTRPG roots. Even though I JUST argued against arguing against you, I still find myself drawn back into this. Is there any reason why it even matters where you...

Roleplay the characters planning things out, then zoom in on various small-scale fights using the NPCs that the PCs sent out to do war. The "mass" part of it happens off-screen, but the outcome depends largely on the focused-on fights. The PCs don't need to be a part of the focused-on fig...

Hasn't it already been proven that arguing with Shadzar never goes anywhere? We do our thing, he does his thing, and when they cross we say "fuck you!", he says "fuck you!" and NOTHING WILL HAVE CHANGED.

Either way, I think it's more fun to play with an optimized build, as it the player more in control of the events of the game, instead of just blindly being dragged forward by the DM.

So you're saying that because characters became more customizable, nobody wanted to actually play the game. So you're saying it's somehow a distraction and you'd rather have all statistics in the hand of the GM. For the record I love how customizable 3.5 is, and am in fact in the middle or running s...

Spelljammer came first, because I remember there being several references to it in Planescape. That said, I know next to nothing else of the setting. Were the rules that handled ship to ship combat any good?

From the few I read, they mostly ignore cosmology entirely. High level adventurers who travel the planes is not a thing that happens in the novels, so the fact that Baator stopped existing in 4th edition means jack shit since they weren't planning on Drizzt going there anyways. Baator existed. It w...

if someone says 'Let's play D&D,' I'm going to opt for 3.5 every time, because it has the least amount of horrible bullshit. and the fact that we disagree since i think 3.x has the MOST amount of horseshit (not counting whatever the fuck 4h edition is supposed to even be), aside from PO; that r...

i have no idea even where this concept comes form except from small children at the store whining to their parents. "Daddy buy me this, Mommy buy me that." are people really playing D&D in order to collect magic items? are they trying to prove something to their peers through their ch...

I mean, look at that halfling! He'd have to get up on his tippy-toes to suck the human's cock! And yet, he'd have to kneel down to suck the dwarf's cock. Surely, this means the dwarf must be sized small, right? If size means anything, it's what position you have to get in to give a BJ. But the dwar...

Because they couldn't justify halflings as tiny. No, really. In D&D Dwarves may be shorter-than-average, but they're also depicted as about as strong as humans and built like miniature linebackers, about four feet high and almost as broad. The creators wanted them to be able to share swords and...

Holy Fvcking Shit!

So i was reading through the players handbook out of boredom, and then I happen upon the entry for dwarves. It's all going along fine, until I find out that I've been wrong for so many years. DWARVES ARE FUCKING MEDIUM SIZED! I mean what the hell? How does this: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/im...

Pathfinder =/= D&D 3.5?

How interchangeable is pathfinder with dnd? Because I was thinking about getting some pathfinder source books to look up some interesting spells and monsters to add to a D&D campaign. Will this work, or will it just be a waste?

Okay I read that and laughed so hard. Wh...
