Ars Magica works fairly well, in my opinion; it's fairly common for players to go off on their own adventures/with a few other companions, and with some temporal lenience things can resolve pretty well. Since player input is only really required in each season and at certain specific events that nec...

Well, I got a response from the two biggest shadowrun authorities on this forum, so I'm happy. Thanks a bunch. I hadn't considered turnover as a source for effective demand, and that makes a lot of sense. I'd imagined a decent chunk of a corp's laborers being non-contractual day laborers like longsh...

So, I'm starting up a SR4 (with Ends and a few other houserules, like consolidation of combat skills) campaign, and I've been trying to get a feel for how, exactly the Shadowrun economy works, and I have several questions. If needed, I can crosspost this into another thread, but this seems like as g...

We finally managed to find a replacement manager, so shit is no longer totally fucked. Phone salesperson's Parma will no longer be as big a deal, and when I get a chance I'll refigure what kinds of InVi spells I can cast at a fifth of my total, which was 5, iirc. Again, salesperson's Parma. Petrus w...

I thought InVi spells detected at the range of the spell, so that spell would only tell you if you yourself were vis. I can spontaneously cast InVi spells at sight range anyways so I haven't looked deeply into it, but that's my understanding, and I can't look at my books to double-check, as I'm at w...

[[ooc note: the vocative, which you use when addressing someone, for lupus is Lupe, but I don't remember if the vocative had fallen out of fashion come 1220 or not. In any case (hah) Lupo would only be used when talking about the wolf as an indirect object (give to, etc) or when conjoining the wolf ...

There's a game going on right now in In The Trenches, which you can check out. Frank was wrong about spontaneous magic, in the last thread, and he's still wrong now. He's not even wrong in an interesting way, to make this worse. I believe the example he cited was something like a human growing horns...

The Unnamed Covenant. 26 March 1220. Spring. (Morning) I thank you for your trust, Nidratr. To be perfectly frank, the Wolf is, well, exactly who I had in mind when I thought up this position of Trusted Friend. The Unnamed Covenant. 26 March 1220. Spring. (Afternoon) Petrus, having cast Whispering ...
