Re: More "I'm a _____" feats
Erm...no, just giving out abilities for essentially, or eventually, free isn't a good idea unless the abilities are practically worthless for the level you get them. Besides, almost all the D&D material designed around here is meant to be compatible with the Tomes.

When it comes to Tome classes, or playable WOTC classes, everyone can easily afford to be good at one or more social things.[br][br]PhoneLobster, this really doesn't seem all that hard to me. Is assigning appropriate bonuses or penalties really harder than just arbitrarily deciding what the NPC thin...

Re: More "I'm a _____" feats
Actually I was thinking more of the numbers, some of these feats are giving out +3 two three different skills as the base or +1 benefit and maybe something else besides, that got to be toned down; and there are places where things could certainly use some powering up too. I didn't go over them piece...

Charm should work that way, but Compulsion should turn you into a slave(that gets to make will saves to break your control)[br][br]Maybe in my system Charms and Compulsions could give you a number of extra d6s equal to the spell level; that way you probably could convince Joe Schmo to do just about ...

I dunno. Once the Wizard understands the concept of SoDs and battlefield control, they are usually pretty easy to run. There is no reason you can't just get someone to make your daily spell selections for you.

A good things about the system I just proposed is that what idea you are trying to convey and the person you are trying to convey it to gives, sometimes rather significant, modifiers on the check.[br][br]Once that system has been ironed out we can do things like add templates to NPCs based on their ...

I like the idea of social combat, but I don't think it should work the same way as regular D&D combat. Here's how I envision it.[br][br]The basic premise is that at the base-line for people with a stat of 10 and no ranks get to roll 1 d6 when proposing a roughly neutral proposition that the targ...

Sunder is a bad thing because it destroys things that a lot of your enemy's power is tied up in, but Sunder would be perfectly fine if it could destroy things in which none of your enemy's power was tied up in instead.
You'd have to be a total asshole or a moron to come to that conclusion.

Is it odd that I find it annoying that Frank is consistently compared to House when it's been established that Frank is a joyful, fun person to be around IRL, while the character House is most definitely not? Just wondering if it's strange that I care enough to be annoyed.

Take a look at the Warchanter prestige class in on of the early complete books. It has some worthwhile combat buff songs.
