Re: Magic Item Strangeness
Well, it'd have to be a move action, right? Just like strapping on a shield or drawing a weapon. It certainly doesn't take a standard action to pull a blindfold down from your forehead.

Robes can go over armour and still count.[br][br]It should also be noted that a Ring of Chameleon Power is impossible to make with a caster level of 3, since you need CL of 12 to get Forge Ring.[br][br]So allow me to answer your question with another question.[br][br]Why does a Helm of Blindsense co...

Re: Artificers break the Wish Economy
Actually, there's a limit on most item crafters: experience. Artificers bypass that limit.

Don't Blue Magi classically gain their magic by getting hit by (and surviving) it?

Re: LARPing (Epoch) and how to break it. (Notes)
Ah, you haven't been keeping up. That math was fixed more recently.[br][br] Second, you have to be either Essense or Void; you 'can' be both, but your tiers in each have to always be balanced. Since each tier always costs retarded (16 per tier and 16 per spell) you don't see any 'balanced' mages. [b...

Re: Things that are NOT FUN
I'm also well in favour of the one-level-lower-than-average rule. It actually makes there a penalty of some sort for dying. If you're dropping more than that, though, it just gets stupid.

Re: LARPing (Epoch) and how to break it. (Notes)
Actually, getting (straight) Essence 9 is just as expensive as getting Essence 5/Void 4, which is why it works so that all your tiers of your lower True Element get absorbed into the higher one. Thing is, Essence 5/Void 5 costs as much as either one at Tier 10. So if you want to have access to the h...

Re: Mindless Vermin?
I dunno, I always figured that since Golems were really just robots without vital parts, while creating them you could give them a pre-programmed set of instructions or something stupid like that.
Of course, the way the rules work for making any kind of servant is pretty dumb.

Re: Mindless Vermin?
The Golems or Zombies would have to be animated/programmed with that kind of behaviour, but it is perfectly functional for it to have been done.

Meaning you only have to play a newbie-level character once, then work for the bad guys for a year, then pop back in suddenly an archmage.

Re: LARPing (Epoch) and how to break it. (Notes)
Well, apparently Epoch is being run by people who aren't total dicks and who do approve of attempts to break the game, so I don't think it's a big issue.
That's only what I've heard, though. We'll find out when we get there.
