I can happily confirm that neither "Testament: Roleplaying in the Biblical Era" nor "Blood and Space: d20 Starship Adventure" are complete systems in and of themselves and have been Rightfully Excluded. Isn't this basically the thinking that gave us Dungeons: the Dragoning 40,000...

Well, making this thread has already made my life harder. A certain Darth Rabbit has pointed out that Lone Wolf the Roleplaying Game seems to meet my criteria for inclusion, and at first glance they seem to be right. Once I verify this I'll add it to the list of things to integrate. If anyone...

Have a basics set that has a full suite of equipment cards and generic actions, etc; but then also have individual class card sets, bestiary card sets, a GM card set, and offer a comprehensive all-in-one box set. Every player is expected to bring to the table at a minimum the basic set and their cla...

Sounds like it's time to offer a box-set where each class is a deck of cards at that point.

Does tihs achieve it's goals in a faster way than RIFTS? In that C.O.R.E.F.A.I.L.U.R.E.'s introduction states that it's actually supposed be a joke rather than serious attempt at a respectable game I think it does. Being functional is in service of the joke. That map is not exactly the way I'd go a...

I understood what you meant, but the comment was getting at something that was close enough to C.O.R.E.F.A.I.L.U.R.E. and it made me want to actually throw what I had out there for people to look at. The quote up top is really just kind of a shout out to you because it's what kind of what made me wa...

The setting can be pretty much whatever you make up on the fly, it's got everything, which is both an advantage and disadvantage. Slap a map down (as I did in the previous post) and make up goofs as you go. Now, when I ran it, it looked a little bit like this: https://media.discordapp.net/attachment...

It's a light-hearted and comedic take on how it happened. Let us all be guilty of bad ideas on this blessed day. And also, just so that I don't make a post devoid of C.O.R.E.F.A.I.L.U.R.E. content, I'll post the map I made that combines all the relevant setting maps I could find at the time. BIG IMA...

Honestly I'm not sure. Sometimes a mania just takes hold of me and I can't let go of an idea, and in this case that mania was directed at producing a very bad joke about games where you're only allowed to use 'core' material. That's not to say that there's not some appeal to it, we've had hodge-podg...

IT'S NOT TECHNICALLY DONE I kind of thought I was at one point, but then people pointed out a bunch of other qualifying d20 games. The game is 'playable' (and has been played, exactly twice), as-is using only the systems listed as integrated. RESOURCES If you decide to make a C.O.R.E.F.A.I.L.U.R.E....

CHARACTER CREATION Creating a character in C.O.R.E.F.A.I.L.U.R.E. D20 is a long process, anything a component D20 system gives to a character for that system is given to a C.O.R.E.F.A.I.L.U.R.E. character (although multiple instances of the same thing across systems do not stack, only the best opti...

Nobody was set-up to do cross-genre, cross-setting adventures with d20. You could do it, but damn few people did because it was such a bloody mess. Which, y'know, could have been fun if anybody had really run with the concept. There's nothing wrong with different settings having different inherent ...

I decided scribus was just as bad, maybe worse than raw LaTeX. Plan is to use an actual professional tool to try again once I sort some life stuff out. I still have all the assets, so its not that big a change. So, honestly, negative progress?

Not cool, particularly since the people you'd be ignoring the copyright of aren't big corps. You're probably right, at least to some extent. The examples I posted are mildly transformative, and the PDF is not for profit, but I'm sure they wouldn't pass the smell test for fair use in a court. It's p...

There's definitely a fair bit of proofreading to be done, but you said you wanted to be the only editor, and meaningfully farming that out means letting someone else hand you copy and trusting that they only did their job. It's not even a trust issue. I just want to have freedom to change anything ...

Most of the art is placeholder. I turned the image of the pets lineup into the races art because I needed something to put there as a placeholder, and it sort of looked like a races lineup and it was funny. On that note, since I've sort of decided I don't really care about image trademarks, and I've...

I would 100% buy a Tome PDF if it looked like that. I appreciate the sentiment, and I'll admit part of my reason for doing this is simply wanting a nice physical copy of the Tome rules (as I see them). At the same time though, it includes enough of other peoples work (that is to say, most of it) an...

The chapter introduction art is a public domain piece by H.R. Millar that caught my eye, and I want to do all or most of the art in that style, though there's not a whole lot of free art that's directly applicable. To that effect I've been playing with using neural style transfer to images of people...

Alright, time for round two. I've tweaked the border and mocked up the start of a chapter so I could get a feel for how it would actually look as a cohesive document. I also played around with using a neural algorithm to make copyright-infringing art for it, the knight on page 4 is an example of thi...
