I don't know what's up with Valerie. Her first companion quest never fired for me and I don't use her in my party. you're supposed to get a letter about her and if i am not mistaken there is a window of only a few days to receive it. if you are out of town and don't get back in time you only get a ...

Yeah, I got sidetracked into rerolling as sylvan sorcerer and don't see any reason to ever leave the class. You get a murder kitty and spontaneous casting is never as onerous in CRPGs as it is in tabletop. I mean, I get that people really like tacking on sneak attack dice to their rays and arcane t...

RPGs always have positive cha modifiers on anyone who bares their midriff. Ecclesitheurge is admittedly kinda lame but seriously, Mage Armor>Monk dip. Generally yeah, but I already had the dwarf for my full cleric slot, and Tristan kind of annoyed me once I realized that he was a romance option and...

There's also the issue of no crafting what so ever. Not even the basics like scroll and wand crafting (despite including all of the magus' wand monkey shit, and the scroll savant archetype for the wizard). When you'd think all the time tracking, quest time limits, and weeks worth of forced down time...

The game is in desperate need of fast travel options like flight or long range teleport, or even just a damn recall to capital spell. And crafting, scrolls and wands at the least. Im not sure how they expected the magus class to function without being able to obtain a regular supply of wands. Ironic...

Eldritch Reciprocation (Su) You can choose to take extra damage from an arcane spell to replenish mythic power. When you are hit by or fail a saving throw against an arcane spell that deals hit point damage, as an immediate action you can choose to take damage as if that spell were affected by the ...

I'm curious to what version of the Sorcerer we end up with. The 3E stupid but oh so pretty spontaneous wizards (which turn out to be hideously under powered to wizards because knowing more spells>casting more spells ) or an entirely unique class (which turn out to be even more under powered because ...

Minor props, on the other hand, for actually having a paragraph about not needing to be defined by binary gender roles under the Sex heading. (though they seem unclear as to what the difference between sex and gender is). But they do mention transgender and sexual orientation. Though only minor pro...

Yes, "lick" is the correct pronunciation. But everyone save the hard core gramar Nazis decided that titles like 'wrath of the lick king' sounded really freaking silly, so the 'ch' won out.

The Tactician is kind of crazy over powered. And even if you're playing nice and not turning yourself in a gestalt tier character, it has a lot of fiddly buffs and effects that will annoy a GM and confuse newbie players. Maybe a bomb focused Alchemist with a few buff and heal spells? Or just a palad...

As horrible as it sounds, I''d probably would go with something like World of Warcraft's Deathknight class just minus the plate armor and ice themed stuff. Not surprising, since that's what D&D Essentials 4.5E D&D did with their Warlocks -- christened Hexblades. Not like they needed yet another arcane melee swordsmaster as they already had Swordmages, Artificers, Bards, and later Bladesingers. But this revelation is rather prosaic in light of ...

It's necessary because I've seen all sorts of play styles... and it's not that uncommon (for good or for ill) for players (and thus their player characters) to exhibit a level of arrogance and bluster and bravado and self-importance that the idea of playing a character as being subservient to any o...
