It pre...

Too many Dexes and too large a fraction of them are marines. Both problems could be solved by getting rid of every marine dex except one.

Won't happen ever though, which is a shame. 40k is insane and over the top, often to the point of silliness. But it is cool.

The problem with Kaelik's spell isn't that its broken. Its a concocted example to show the massive flaw in the epic spell system. It only produces two types of spells. Type 1: Legitimately cool spells with a DC of way too high. Type 2: Kaelik's spell, its more boring than the time I bored into a log...

A bad ruling is the fault of the MC.
Even when the MC isn't out to get the players and noone suspects it either the bad rule is still less disruptive. Laughing at Mearles' ineptitude won't hurt anyone at the table's feelings.

I'm still right to say that NPCs should have some mechanics that back up whatever their personality is. Then the PCs can try to diplomance them from there. Personality is equivalent to terrain in combat, it provides some modifiers and rules. Exactly which ones are there in any encounter is DM fiat a...

No, that would be an example of a very slow and shitty WoF.
