I'm not really sure how interesting a biopic of Gary Gygax will be, frankly. He is a success story to be sure but... really? From what I know of his life it was... not something I would find exciting to watch. Unless they just say "Fuck it," and make up a whole bunch of crazy shit about hi...

Upon further reflection, I suspect that the writer of the article applied some "artistic license" to the research in order to make their article more awesome and advance their career.

Well, I don't know, they way they describe it seems like it just fucking murders cells with double RNA, so they would have to develop some way of propagating in your body without causing double string RNA... this seems, extremely unlikely to develop. This. Since DRACOs don't attack the virus direct...

I suspect that one day authors will sell eBooks directly from their website. They're already working on that. Some people already do it (the tools for doing so all exist), but unless you advertise really well or have a lot of fans that check your website regularly, it's better to sell your stuff in...

Question for the board: Would it make sense, then, to use reaction rolls for every single encounter with an NPC or group of NPCs, or would they be best saved for encounters with NPCs who do not have any "preset" attitude toward the PCs (i.e., non-scripted encounters or any encounter not ce...

Okra. It feels like eating octopus tentacles filled with snot. Tofu. Just... tofu. Rare red meat. If I wanted to drink blood I'd become a fucking vampire. The fact that very few people seem capably of thoroughly cooking meat without transforming it into adamantium may have something to do with rare ...

Really? In my experience a man with several sexual partners is often considered a sleazy dirtbag who is only after one thing. This also seems to extend to celebrities, politicians, etc. In other words, a man who has a lot of sexual partners is in theory awesome, but the reality is that he often look...

High pressure water cannon sounds hilarious. You could also do a freezing blast (deals cold damage, slows down opponents) or hurled icicles or a cloud of scalding steam (obscures vision, deals damage). EDIT: Phonelobster has a point. I would tentatively suggest the number of combat rounds being n + ...

Why are you taking adderall in the first place? Do you have some sort of medical condition that might affect/be affected by your desire to gain more weight? You said you were doing it for looks so I assume not. Just curious. My doctor wants me to gain weight because I am apparently underweight.

Not necessarily. Sometimes it just looks like you're angry and feel you have something to prove to the world. I've got pretty low self confidence myself, comes from feeling trapped and like I'm a burden. But on the other hand, I heard just enough of what I was saying to someone else to make me real...

Transparency is the key to everything, and the more information that is available, the more informed people can become. Note the word "can" as you can always lead a horse to water. Some just won't drink. Frankly, it's not the job of government to take money from the horses that want to dr...

Winds of Fate does that too. In WoF, you don't actually get to make choices, and that can be bad. If you're in the dark about the design goals of WoF and what it actually does but would wish to learn more, I'll be happy to link you the relevant thread. Would you? I've seen you posting about it befo...
