Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
You step gingerly on the blue tile, but nothing happens! Hopping from blue tile to blue tile, you enter the northern corridor. The corridor heads north, entering a pillared hallway with a high ceiling. This suits its inhabitant, a three-metre-tall humanoid with grey skin and silvery eyes, clad in a...

Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
After a while the western corridor enters a small stone-walled chamber whose floor is covered with a mosaic of large red and blue glazed tiles. There is another corridor leaving the room from the north wall. If you wish to get to it by stepping on a blue tile to your left , turn to 73. If you wish ...

Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
(And, c'mon, we own the town, and we've got a horde of barbarians, we can all come in if we want) I think Nharog may be saying that the tribe doesn't want to enter it, similar to how they didn't want to come into Firetop Mountain with is. As you enter Deathtrap Dungeon, one of the Trialmasters says...

Empty box If the box is ticked, Deathtrap Dungeon has been boarded up with bamboo screens and you are unable to enter. Turn back to 46. If the box is not ticked, read on below. The entrance to Deathtrap Dungeon is a dark tunnel-mouth disappearing into the inner depths of a looming hillside. Two gre...

Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
I realized that I forgot to factor in the combat bonuses we got from the equipment we bought at Trolltooth Pass during the ninja combat. Unfortunately, even with the extra bonus from the Horned Helmet, we still could not have avoided that one hit we took from the ninja. What I can do, however, is to...

The strange eastern city of Zengis is capital of the barony of Kaypong and lies on the banks of the River Kok, near the looted ruins of the ancient city of Gar-Goldoran. If you have the Code word Overlord , turn to 138. If you have the Code word Slayer, turn to 123. Zengis is at the centre of the g...

Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
You call a Tribal Moot, a grand feast for all, and during the festival you stand on the sacred Stone of Summoning in the middle of the camp and launch into a thundering speech on the glories of becoming warriors in your battle-horde. "Join me, brothers and sisters, as we lay waste to the stink...

Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
"As wide as the Flatlands!" is what an Allansian would say to denote a vast distance, and this certainly applies to these grassy steppes that stretch from the Moonstone Hills in the west all the way to the Sea of Pearls in the far east. Here in the western part of the Flatlands, the monot...

Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
You and your horde are leaving Zengis and the eastern Allansian province of Kaypong. Its willow-clad riverbanks and bambooshrouded foothills are picturesque, but perhaps too peaceful. Could greater glory lie elsewhere? "Look lively, lads!" says Nharog. "Heads high and axes low!"...

(Oh, so if we lose all our honour, we can still recruit monsters? Huh. If we roll the right number when exploring here, that is) The text doesn't make it very clear, but I'm reading it as we still need to trade Honour for troops, so if it hits zero, we can hire more. Otherwise, it feels broken. The...

Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
Die roll = 3! You take a blazing torch from the wall and explore the dungeon beneath Firetop Mountain. One area has become neutral ground, an underworld tavern of sorts, where a bewildering variety of races and creatures meet to drink, plot and seek out jobs, whether legitimate or, more likely, not....

Re: [Let's Play] Fighting Fantazine Adventure #17 - Barbarian Warrlord!
The lone, jagged crag of Firetop Mountain looms above the eastern edges of the Pagan Plains, its summit stained the eerie red colour that gives the peak its name. Several small insignificant hamlets cluster in the dales at the base of the mountain; their peasant inhabitants cower in their hovels as...

You are the overseer of the Dwarf settlement of Stonebridge and you appropriate the large stone house in the middle of the town that used to belong to old King Gillibran. Add the Code word Looter to the Code words box on your Adventure Sheet (and cross off Chalice from its City slot on the Your Domain box if it was there). You give the order for your horde to raze Chalice to the ground! Everything goes up in smoke, walls are torn down, and the surviving populace fle...

For reference:
From Craggen Heights, we were given the options to go to 3 places: Trolltooth Pass, Salamonis and Forest of Yore.
The only place we have visited thus far that allows us to go straight to Craggen Heights from there is Trolltooth Pass.

Unfortunately, from the Forest of Yore, one can only head to either Salamonis or Chalice. It's not clear why there's no way back to Craggen Rock from there. So we'd have to pick a different route.
