This looks very cool, much better than other implementations of something like a Dark Sun Defiler I've seen so far, although it's obviously not the exact same concept.

It's also missing an entry for level 17, pointless as that is right now to point out.

Why is having attributes that go over 5 inherently worse in a Storyteller game than having large pools is in Shadowrun, for example? Stretching a dice pool size can definitely break a game, but for a superhero game I assumed you'd have challenges that required staggering amounts of successes. Just s...

I think there was a thread about this already before 5e came out, but a new D&D certainly needs to have the options for playable races sorted out. Both in that a lot (dozens, maybe) of concepts need to be catered to adequately at level 1, and that ideally there won't be "killer app" ra...

I've been playing a bit of Ascension lately, which is interesting in that it's competitive, but you're not actively fighting the other players, just trying to acquire honor by defeating monsters. It reminds me slightly of Ninja Burger, which I quite enjoy. The art and lore, such that is there, are v...

What you say is absolutely true. Pendragon is probably an even better example. It jumped from 1st to third edition without ever releasing a 2nd one. Even so, I confidently claim both Ars and Pendragon as great successes and classics 'cause the standards in rpg land are truly fucking low... Hell Ony...

With Vampire being a class in 4e, I entertained the idea of playing a Warforged Vampire, with a theme to get healing powers from: a dialysis machine/technician.

There also seems to be a real lack of resisting actions; you do something and it succeeds or fails based on the character taking the action, with little change based on who the action is being taken against. I might be wrong about this, since this is all based on playing, and not reading much of the...

Do you count hits on a per die basis or something? Rolling more dice would seem to make it harder to roll under something and canceling dice would seem to make it easier. -Username17 They do count per die, it's like playing SR3 or old World of Darkness, with variable target numbers and dice pools, ...
