Granblue Fantasy Versus is made by Arc System Works, who also made BlazBlue and Guilty Gear if that gives you any idea.

I haven't personally played it though, so I can't tell you how complicated it is or isn't.

Things seem to have less hardness than I thought >_> I'd at least call shenanigans on counting objects as opponents for the purposes of whirlwind, which specifies opponents.

Everyone here is right though, it's probably simplest and best to just not allow it to proc on objects.

I think attacking the terrain is fine because to get the proc you have to deal damage. That means you need to get through the hardness of whatever you're attacking (so the ground is a no-go, but a tree you'd stand a chance).

At its worst, it's a bag of rats-style whirlwind attack that deals 5d6*rats damage to everything within 30 feet It's not. The rats will die to the first hit, so you don't get to continue attacking their dead corpses and stacking the 5d6. I think the best you can do is the bit with the TWF and slam,...

Bug Catcher and co really makes sense as an NPC class more than anything else. In the games, most of the people you fight only have a single type or specialty. Now from the metagame perspective that's because it's just a lot easier for the developers to copy-paste a lot of them, but from the in-game...

If you or anyone you know enjoys binging murder mysteries on Netflix, you owe it to yourself to see Knives Out in theaters. It was really, really good.

I guess RWBY just has a solid Japanese fanbase which is kind of cool. I'm not really a BlazBlue guy but I'd pick up BBTAG.

Does anyone else feel bored and disengaged by the number of franchises in games like Super Smash Bros. and Namco vs. Capcom? Honestly, not really. One thing I really like about BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is they took some pretty random franchises like RWBY and put them into a good fighting game that...

John Wick 3 was a lot worse than the second one. It didn't feel like a continuous movie. It felt like it just sorta moved from one disconnected scene to the next. There were simply too many characters introduced for one spot and then done. It really needed more time in the oven. The scene with the d...

I thought angle grinders were more expensive than they are - definitely something to keep in mind if the concrete needs some buffing. It's kind of a piece of shit, but if you don't plan to use it for the rest of your life you can run to Harbor Freight and pick up their most basic and low-powered an...

I don't really have any experience taking up carpet, but would an angle grinder with a flap disk or wire wheel take it off easily? I hate manual labor so that would be the first thing I'd try if I was doing the job.

There was a DoA6 tournament (didn't even realize that was a thing -- the game is basically a meme) before a stream I wanted to see and I caught a little bit and I'm astounded that despite the fact that the game is supposed to be entirely based on anime tiddies, it looks like absolute garbage. Maybe ...

It's incredible how Amy went from a pretty simple character in SC4 to pretty damn complex in SC6. Not sure I dislike the transition though. Her combo game needs a fucking flowchart, but overall she's a fairly enjoyable character.

I want to get into a 2d fighter again but I have a confession -- I really don't like meters in fighting games. That rules out pretty much every modern 2d fighter. SC6 is very close to beyond what my tolerance is (you get a single super move and a glorified burst). ST is pretty much the ideal if you'...

Fightan games

Anyone play them? Anyone want to have some matches?

I recently picked up SoulCalibur 6 now that Amy came out (she was my main in SC4 and now she's...rather different). I have it for the PC and the PS4 doesn't cross-play so let me know if anyone wants to play.

I finally caught up on Seven Deadly Sins (to the latest manga chapter) now that the second anime season has come out and man...it has really squandered its potential. Fire Emblem Awakening is one of my favorite games but I absolutely loathe school settings in general so I'm gonna have to pass on Three Houses. Damn. It's not stupid to charge for DMing, it's stupid to pay it. There's a difference. No it's not. We have a local comic book shop that just opened up. Great place. They also do pen and paper RP games. The policy is you pay a fee to get in. Pays for both the space and a bit of the DM's time. The space ...

WotC has some actual award-winning writers on tap for MtG. So if they actually wrote parts of the book, I'd buy it.

Why was it even a mistake? It seemed like a pretty good trade, some crappy ships for a super capital ship. Oh, and this. It was a crappy trade because they can pull another super capital ship out of their reserves (and they do), but the rebellion doesn't have that sort of reserves. So their suicida...
