Re: Fixed-Form Polymorph

IMO +16 to strength alone is probably over the top anyway for a 4th level spell before we even consider the darkvision and other abilities. [br][br]I guess the main question we have to ask ourselves is if we really want a great wyrm getting a +16 to strength and some extra abilities. [br][br]I don'...

Re: The Totally Insane Initiate of Mystra Feat

Since an AMF doesn't block line of effect, this means that spells that have effects past the AMF are OK, but buff spells are right out. [br][br]That is completely incorrect.[br][br] Benefit: You can attempt to cast spells even within a dead magic zone or an anti magic field. In a dead magic zone, y...

Re: Polymorph Fixes

Polymorph shouldn't be buffing already powerful races. That's not a polymorph, that's just an enlarge, and I already put a spell to do just that. Polymorph is supposed to change you into something you're not. A bad ass giant doesn't need to polymorph himself for combat. [br][br]Is there something m...

Re: Polymorph Fixes

Honestly, when you've already got a combat form, you dont' need polymorph. A great wyrm doesn't need to change into a dragon, it already IS a dragon. A frost giant doesn't need to change into a giant, it already IS a giant. These guys don't need any help. [br][br] The human or kobold wizard on the ...

Fixing some of the sorrier feats in the PHB.

I explicitly do not believe in excusing weak feats like toughness and endurance as gateway feats for either better feats or PrCs. It's a sad, sad day when players are asked at first level to choose between dodge + mobility, C.E. + I. Trip and P. Attack + Cleave.[br][br]So. Here's just my quick attem...

Re: Your combat schtick should be separate from your non-com

You've created an interesting system for breaking down the character classes into combat-based areas, and non-combat-based areas. That's not a bad way to look at it, although I think your lists are either too limited, or too inclusive, depending on which way you want to go. But not everybody wants ...

I need a detailed chronicle of the Dragon Disciple, Kensai,

With some friends, we were comparing powergamey characters. There's a sorcerer who wants to take up the Dragon Disciple PrC and another guy who wants to extol the cheesy virtues of the monk/duelist. Another guy says that kensai is the most overpowered thing ever. All of these PrCs are the 3.5E versi...

This is also an interesting idea, but it creates even more of a break with the normal pattern of attacks then simply ending the progression. It seems much simpler to provide epic fighter-types with other ways to gain more attacks, or make the attacks that they have more powerful... Oh wait, we alre...

Re: Epic Balance...?

Also, I am really not buying the 'Too Many Dice Rolling' argument.

If you're dealing with that much dice at all, either you're rolling on the computer or using the averages. The primary spellcasters make out like mad bandits while the fighter-types get left out in the cold.

Say you're a 9th or 10th level wizard who has access to this awesome, yet silly spell. And what the heck, minor creation. Oldie but a Goldie: what the hell is with 1 min/level durati

Apparently, the people who wrote PGtF have no guts whatsoever.[br][br]Hey, get this--1 min/level is the most unpopular duration in the game. The length justifies it being stronger than day or hour-long spells (though this is rarely the case) yet they never tend to be as awesome as round/level. Appar...
