They'd use wireless to communicate with other devices yeah. Wired connections with the body, and presumably other cyberware like datajacks or internal commlinks. I'm unsure where skinlink falls but it feels like they ought to be able to connect that way. I'd think you can jam them, you can jam out T...

Can you hack a cyberlimb? If yes, what would you have to hack, the commlink or the limb itself? What FIRE would a cyberlimb have? Once you've hacked it, what can you do with it? If the cyberlimb isn't in a PAN, it's a lone device and you hack it just like any other lone device (EotM, "Hacking ...

27-year-old male in Washington. The State, not the supposedly shitty one back east. Programmer, when I can get people to actually give me money to do that instead of hit things with tests. Out of the people on this board, I went to undergrad school with Manxome and endersdouble. Don't think I've met...

Re: [2e Exalted] Lunar Exalted in a typical wtfExalted game

I dunno how one could mechanically talk with Sol or Luna in Exalted! Prayer is described in Exalted Second Edition, page 132. Gods universally have the innate ability to hear the actual content of individual prayers sent to them, if the Prayer roll is successful. It's a Charisma+Performance roll, y...

"goes through objects" and "draws line of sight through objects" aren't the same thing though. Otherwise there'd be no point in some programs having a range of S and some having a range of S (LOS). Of course these are different. High Density Signal != LOS. I was asserting that H...

HDS can be sent through solid, opaque objects. There are specific rules for how far it goes through the earth (including mountains), and there are ways to block Signal via Wi-Fi blocking paint and Faraday cages. Beyond that, it seems to just go through anything you care to mention (presumably metal ...

Ok, yes, i got that mixed up. But even if not all those stars you can see are suns, all these stars you can see are either suns or the reflected light of suns, so the point still stands i think . . ...this... No. That is a non-thing. The Sun is a star, but not all stars are the sun. In fact, only o...

I'm pretty sure the bad impression here wasn't about meanness but rather uselessness. Which actually is an unusual bad first impression here.

Now there's a monk, guys! According to Mearls, it has expertise dice, skill training (guess what, you don't care because all skills are "argue with the DM") and doesn't scale unarmed. Let's look at the packet, shall we? We've got our trusty monk alignment requirements. Good to know that s...

If so, what would be the equivalent of the encounter where the PCs drop white phosphorus on a bunch of civilians under the assumption that it is just a bunch of densely packed enemy soldiers? Canonically, the TSAB doesn't use matter-based weapons, due to seriously nasty wars that occurred using tho...

Actually, I figured out a way to work that: help fellow PoSci vampires when asked while having long-term plans to SHOW THEM ALL BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

The trick would be to make the plans long-term and just not fail at them.

Though the original post said they're supposed to be contradictory...

dire wolves and bearhounds -> dogs That's not evolution, that's human selection for the permababy trait (so they don't do stuff like try the "I will fight the alpha to be the new alpha" thing). And babies are cute, presumably so adults don't maul them in a fit of rage from all the crying.

I'd be down with New Elite 4 shenanigans. Not so much with the Team [X] shenanigans, at least not with the motivation being "MOAR POWAR BWAHAHAHAHAHA". Like Prak said, that's basically what we did in Disgaeagame.

Not necessarily the Gadgeteer class, could be a Pokemaster who focuses on technical skills rather than wilderness skills.
