Re: How Strong Are D&D Characters Compared to Real Superhero

Super powerful is OK so long as you can still roleplay and describe it. Wolverine or Professor X is incredibly powerful, but we can easily see them doing their thing, and we know generally what they'd do in a certain situation, so they're OK. [br][br]As for the matchups. Re: Fixed-Form Polymorph

Well, the thing with the size templates is that you can really only shift one size to make it balanced. The best you can do is become one size catagory bigger, otherwise you're handing out a potential +16 stackable bonus to strength, and that's too much for any 4th level spell to be giving. A spell ...

The gestalt rules do need some gestalt classes (that is they take up two class slots), to handle a full out fighter, and they need to let you take caster levels twice, and add the spell slots. Re: Your combat schtick should be separate from your non-com

Survival is ok, but it's not really much of a noncombat skill. It's basically a way to avoid paying for rations, and while it's cool and all, a bag of holding filled with iron rations is just as good at high levels.

I agree fighters should have it however.

And here is the spell for a wizard, which I've named lesser shapechange. I tried to grant it versatility without being tied to the monster manual at all. Re: Your combat schtick should be separate from your non-com

The thing is that the casters can do lots of noncombat tasks. A cleric isn't just a healer, he's also a primary diviner. And they do stuff that isn't even on the list, like teleportation. So casters are way more versatile than a simple classification can give them credit for.[br][br]On the subject o...
