Here is the aforementioned Faelryinth post getting owned hard: Let's evaluate the latest batch of wrongness. Dragon casts second level spell. Oh noes, his second level spell counters yours! Except his lasts a minute a level, yours lasts one round. Remind me again why dragons care? Armor and shields ...

I hate how most of the people who really know what they're talking about with CharOp and game balance nowadays are giant fucking douchebags with no sense of how to carry on a civil conversation. Not gonna name names. Twenty bucks says that Sunic Flames and I are not being named. Only 20? Weaksauce....

So overall we have Prak reporting some Epic Win, Tome rules doing ammo rules a lot cleaner than trying to pigeonhole and redesign fucking Raptor Arrows, and general Epic Fail from various sources. That about sum up the last page?

Tasers presumably do nonlethal damage. Flamethrowers, even if considered magical still need to beat a miss chance. So it at least works somewhat. Provided they figure it out.

Well I think it's already been established corporeal undead aren't going to do much against sheer firepower. But the incorporeal ones don't even get affected by most stuff.

How are you getting those things to do 3 Con damage a hit? Back to Monks, that guy was serious about fighting me. I picked the weakest character in my game, which was actually someone else's cohort. Even the guy running it thinks the Monk doesn't have much of a chance, so I'm just toying with him. T...

Some guy actually thinks a core only Monk can take on level appropriate opposition, and even real characters made out of many books... His example involved 4 items that break WBL hard by themselves and break the rules too as they are not always on, they have to be activated. No, it wasn't Ae...

Starts off with a guy constructively wanting and accepting help. He's cool. It then gets derailed hard by others.

Lol. Thing is GitP is full of Fail. These guys are smart for the most part, it's just a couple of idiots who actually believe this stuff. You've interacted with a bit of it before. It was over a year ago though. I offered a cohort 3 levels lower as an opponent, then objectively proved it was impossi...

I see nothing in the spell description about lead or anything else blocking it. Even planar boundaries only partially block it. Now Detect magics wouldn't work through it.

Well -2 AC for +4 Str and Con or more and +2 Will saves or whatever is a good trade. Losing 2 Con to get a cheap magic item effect? Um, I'll take Hell No for 600 please Alex.

So basically they're still a bunch of incompetent dumbfucks that still haven't learned the difference between buffs and nerfs, much less how to design a professional grade system.

Amirite or amirite?

They fell apart pretty fast without a certain clue bat toting enforcer to keep them in line.

Well, that is a bit different. Best 3.5 party was Cleric, Druid, Wizard, Artificer. Or if you're assraping WBL via Planar Binding or whatever, sub the Artificer for one of the other three since the main reason he's there is for super cheap gear.

Is it really that surprising? The parallels between 4.0 and MMOs are astounding. MMOs are known for discouraging or even flat out banning intelligent play and turning it into a stat contest. The only difference is MMOs have to make you go into the water to fight the sharks so they can bite you back ...

Does JaronK only talk about Factotums? I really don't think I've ever seen him talk about anything else. Isn't it the most broken class written in 3e that gets banned out of hand by any but the most naive of DMs? (I really don't know cause I've never looked at it, it just seems to be what I've hear...

Of course, even if we for some reason allowed all that bllshit, JaronK is still purchasing a "mount" that he is personally too large to ride. It's a large flyer with no special carrying capacity powers, so it can't carry a medium character into battle as a mount. And he's a medium charact...
