Druid Decisions for a Pirate Campaign
Cross-posting this from Nifty, since some of the regulars here are strong in Druid-fu.[br][br]That's right, my prayers have been answered: someone is finally DM'ing a Pirate campaign! :viking: That said, I found out about this a little bit late, so traditionally piratical roles have mostly been fill...

Re: It Ends In Darkness - Character Concepts
Singh Rager - I've heard this, but not in a long time. Is this in OA? Also, if I time the Scout levels right, I can make up for some lost skill points by taking a level or 2 of Scout (8+ Int skill points, and one hell of a skill list) last. [br][br]Edit: Yep, OA, found it. That works really quite ni...

Re: It Ends In Darkness - Character Concepts
I'm working on a build, but I'm running into some stumbling blocks.[br][br]I'm pondering levels of Scout, Barbarian, Ranger, and Dervish at the moment (although Dervish could definitely change). Does Dervish Dance works if used as part of a charge? If so, it could produce a pounce-like effect, which...

Re: It Ends In Darkness - Character Concepts
I was considering some combination of Scout (like, the actual Scout class) or Scout / Ranger, but we seem to have a lot of that covered. Then again, I still think it might be needed if we're exploring dangerous Mezoamerican jungles.[br][br]Stealth-almost-posted edit: 2 things)[br][br]1) Mr Waesel is...

Re: It Ends In Darkness - Character Concepts
Are you kidding? Mexico loves the undead![br][br]As for character concepts, I was originally thinking of some sort of 1/1 BAB type Ranger / Barbarian Jaguar Warrior, but Ess seems to have that covered. Given the list so far, I'm seriously pondering some sort of arcane caster, but I feel my cheese is...

Re: It Ends In Darkness - Character Concepts
Well... crap. Someone just posted in IMHO that the character creation thread is here. I've completely missed it so far, and will be heading out shortly for July 4th festivities. Is it too late for me to read up and post for this tomorrow?

1119567305[/unixtime]] How will we handle dice rolling? [br][br]With a dicebot that logs our rolls, I suppose. [br][br]Anyone knows of a good one? What about the dicebot used in LotXC? [br][br]Funny you should mention it. That site (http://krisinchico.brinkster.net/rolldata.asp) appears to be down ...

Re: Genre Poll
Certainly makes mapping easy, and provides just enough historical context without being tied to the preconceptions and sacred cows of other campaign settings.
Oh, and It Ends in Darkness does look really cool.

Re: My PC.
Count me in as an "Aye," or perhaps an "Arrrrr!" I'm game for a truly wide range of level options, but I'd kind of like mid-level as a starting point - maybe start around 7-8, work up from there?
I'll probably be able to post 2 times daily on average.

Re: With all this talk about game design & theory, why don't
I'm something of an unknown for my Gaming Den contributions (because they're utterly lacking so far) but I'd be interested in a solid play by post campaign. The game I was involved in on That Other Board seems to have dissolved, as many of these do.[br][br]:viking: <- because it's the closest thing ...

It's from Complete Somethingorother. I'm pretty sure it's Adventurer but it could be Arcane.

Re: Can Dwarves tumble in heavy armor?
It's noteworthy here that skill points for the Heavy Armor classes are all 2+Int modifier, so taking Tumble to high levels for auto-success of DC 15 checks costs them more in absolute terms and in relative terms.

Quick Polymorph question
Something I've always wondered, and never seen spelled out: how does one Polymorph into an Outsider? People talk about using Horned Devils as combat forms and all that jazz, but I haven't been able to figure out in the text how it's supported. [br][br]It's also been mentioned that you need to be an ...
Re: Welcome!
I followed a link here from Maj and have enjoyed what I've read so far. To posters I haven't seen in a while for various reasons at Nifty - it's good to see you and read your posts again. I'm getting back into a D&D campaign for the first time in a while, so expect to see me posting and lurking ...
